Yeah it is my first grow with 24 hours on. Have done exactly what you mentioned 18/6 16/8, have t noticed any difference in the true except a late to flower
If you want them to flower sooner switch to 12/12. Adjust DLI accordingly. Download photone app or ppfd app to help you find it. Auto flowers merely have the ruderalis trait. And not a whole lot of ruderalis genes. If they did they wouldn’t be potent. They are still mostly indica/sativa. Which are photoperiod. Ruderalis is the plant who’s genes are used to make autos. But do not at all produce potent buds. So give them a flip nudge.
You’ll see her begin to outgrow chlorophyll (new growth will be lighter) before you see pistils. She’s a healthy girl. Definitely gonna take off. Personally. Since she isn’t stretching yet. I’d top her. Just don’t go playing with environmental settings daily. Could stunt her.
Without topping I see potential height issues. As in. She’s gonna be 5ft+ tall probably. As is. Givin no stunt and no top.
Nvm. She’s already in transition. I looked closer. Lol. Look into DLI. Since anything above target dli is still wasted money. No matter what phase. 24/0 is reveg/veg for photoperiods only really. Or to harden lings/sprout’s.
It is too bad you did not train (LST) the gold leaf. You don’t often get the opportunity to shape an auto as much as you could have with this one because of its fast cycle. At this point you need to bend the main stem over and tie it down. Also thin out the bottom of the plant. That stuff looks nice now but is a waste of energy. You are going to need another milk crate or a second light for shorty.
The gold leaf looks fantastically healthy. You have taken good care of her. The longest an auto took to transition for me was 52 - 54 days. It was like growing a photoperiod.
That’s longer than my photoperiods. Generally. By 2-4 weeks depending. Blue dreams currently at 76 days since sprout. One probably done 2-3 weeks. Other 4-5. So if they had just finished transition in the 50s of days that would total close to or over 100. Depending. On if it’s 7 or 10 weeks to finish after. Lol. Or less. Or more.
Thanks mate, I have learnt a lot of lessons the hard way. I have never done any LST or topping. Very nervous! I can’t afford to stuff it up as no stash left!!!
I have removed a lot of fan leaves, will tidy her up a little more.
Yep got another milk crete ready roll. The shorty is looking very good. Never had a plant look like her to date
I had the same thing with my white widow autos. With advice here, I flipped to 12x12 and the girls responded in 10-14 days really well, kicking into flower! I’m a newbie, but it worked for me!
Whew, most run autos 20/4 don’t switch any auto to 12/12 unless you want a runt. You can decrease lighting sure to jump flowering sooner but 12/12 is costing you yield with an autoflower and is a mistake .
Start em 24/0 when your done vegging and ready to flower reduce light to 20/4 and get all out of it that it’s capable of.
Sounds like your cutting them early…? @
Also , you should really be at a 12/12 lighting schedule …
Plant’s will grow faster with that lighting schedule…
