Why are my plants growing sooo slow?

First time grower. My plants are just about 2 weeks old. They seem to be growing very slowly. I had them under a 1200w blurple at 24 inches for 18 hours a day until yesterday. I just received my Mars Hydro TS3000 so I have that running instead at 55 percent from 24 inches. I have been maintaining 78f and 55rh. What could I have done wrong?

I am using FFHF and perlite mix 75/25.

I think @imSICKkid said it best about seedlings “slower than a pregnant yak” this is by far the most unsatisfying stage of growing. They are getting busy putting down roots. Give it a few days and they will reward you with some visible growth . :v:And welcome!

Welcome to the community. What you are experiencing is what all do;;;the waiting game. You will find that growing will try our patience. I believe that you will be fine. happy growing :bat:

Welcome to the community! your seedlings look great. We all want them to grow fast but seedling develop some root system before you see much foliage. Seedlings always test my patience. :+1:

I agree with everything stated about seedlings being slow and testing your patience before they get rolling…but at two weeks it does seem like something is up. If they were mine I would be questioning the growth rate. Your cotes also look to be yellowing. I would usually take this as a sign of hunger but in ffhf at this stage they shouldn’t be hungry. Is there any moisture in the soil? Rh could be higher for seedlings. I’m new myself and certainly no expert but I agree with your assessment that something’s not quite right for two weeks in your setup. The blurple is fine for seedlings and veg so I wouldn’t place blame there.

Thanks for everyone’s input! I do have yellowing on my cotes, I have only been using distilled water with a ph of 6.5.

What’s your watering schedule, amounts?

I wet the soil when I planted the germinated seeds. Then left them alone a couple days before starting to spray the top layer of soil when dry. I gave them their first watering 3 days after they sprouted. Then I watered about 2oz each every other day for the next 6 days. I would run my finger down the side of the pot and the soil felt bone dry so it seemed necessary. I read all about rookies overwatering thier plants and definitely don’t want to make the same mistake. I have backed off the water a bit thinking that could be my problem.
