Whorled phyllotaxy

I start with this everytime but beginner grower here not really looking for help but kind of excited and wanted to share …

I planted a few seeds 4/17/25 for this years outdoor season well one was a tiny runt a runts runt if you will :joy: so I put her in a 5 gallon grow bag with another runt outside before it was time and kinda just forgot about her gave her water here and there but mainly rain water and actually a raccoon :raccoon: dug her up I found her on the porch replanted her with some mycorrhiza just too see if she would survive and she did but wasn’t given much love well when I passed her on my way in the house today I happened to take a glance and something was different than most of my plants looked at her closely and she has 4 separate leafs coming out of the same node and looks like her next set is doing the same I thought it was just a odd phenotype but did some digging and if I’m right it’s WHORLED PHYLLOTAXY which seems kinda rare and this is my first grow I think it’s a really cool looking little plant and would love to clone it when it’s bigger if it’s possible??

Il attach some pics and a video if it will let me

I hear they can do that from stress but if it’s a true one yes absolutely clone it. I made the mistake of not cloning my triploid. It was true off the sprout. :shamrock: she’s about finished. I had a lot of battles with my girls this run. Thanks to the community and helping me get the girls back on track. Do lots of training. Stuff grows like celery as Midwest says. An it’s true. Keep good airflow.

Just a question. @Jdallas91
What are the lil dark specs on the stem in the second pic ?
Sorry. Lol. Just read the rest of your post.
Dirt from the mishap.

I had one a few years ago that grew slow throughout and had 3 branches per node.
Finished at 32 inches in a 5 gal bucket.
A solid 8 oz harvest from her.

:victory_hand:

Haha yea soil specs she was living the hard life but now she’s going to get special treatment and 8 ounces that’s awesome !! That’s kinda why I couldn’t just throw her out I’ve seen a few others said they had a runt that one day took off and produced pretty good!!! Even if she doesn’t hopefully I can get a couple clones off of her just for the pheno

I definitely will and idk if she is true or not cause she has definitely had some stress with the raccoon digging her up and throwing her haha speaking of clones any tips advice? I’d like to have this clone when she gets bigger but I have one autoflower right now that is just a beauty compared to the other and I would like to clone her if that’s even possible cause she’s already in probably week 2 of flower

Raccoon reason is possible then. But it has very good chance that it will continue to grow that way. However a clone won’t grow that way. From what I understand anyway, an has to be that way from seedling. Mine was. You can check out my journal dreams of blue and purple to see her from the rip. There is a link in that also that explains why and how those happen from sprout. Unfortunately autos from what I have looked into are not able to be cloned.

Yes , clone it 100% . Nice .

Even if not it’s still pretty cool from what I understand it’s one of the rare mutations feels lucky :four_leaf_clover: to me but yea I’m heading right over to check that out cause I didn’t even know this was a thing till today thanks @Milkman !!!

Can’t clone an auto and expect much, because any cutting is locked into the same chronological age as the parent. That’s the way the c. rudelaris genetics work and why autos grow and flower on a fixed timeline without regard to light/dark exposure.

I tried reveging an auto. It’s a dead stick now.
Figured as much, but now I can say I got my hands dirty and failed.

Yeah bummer , I didn’t realise it was an auto . Oh well , I’m sure it will be memorable .
