Everything was going good until 5th week around Dec 20. had a ppm of 1600 and pH of 6.1
Thought it was nutrient overdose so on Dec 23 I flushed with 6 gallons of water.
Dec 27 I gave her 2 L of water with some epsom salt, FloraNova Gro plus some CalMag about half the recommended dose. IN ppm 671 OUT ppm 772 pH IN 6.5 OUT 6.4
I water every 4 days and am on a feed, feed, water regiment.
The leaves were also tacoing so I moved the lights further away. She has not done much since I flushed her. She is small and bushy.
I switched to 12/12 lights on Dec 31. All my other girls are doing great but this WW is struggling.
This is my third grow.
I’ve seen high levels of nitrogen do that, so would probably have taken the same course of action. I would also suggest probably just using the calmag instead of it and the Epsom salts, but that’s a personal preference. The Epsom salts are a good idea when you’re already supplying calcium from another source but not the mag.
Let’s see if one of those promix guys come by. I feel like they usually treat that more like a coco grow, with more frequent waterings and reduced feed levels more often. But I’m not sure of it, so best to get their knowledge. If @Countryboyjvd1971 is around pretty sure he is a promix guy.
Looking at the info posted i dont see how you can have a nutrient build up you stated ppm are 700 range
I you should be in the 1200- 1500 range when in late veg or early flower
I do use promix as welk i use the bx line
What was your ppm before flush @dbrn32 is correct high nitrogen can cause curling of leaves
I suspect its more of a ph isssue tho since you say your run off is at 6.4 and going in at 6.5
Next watering bump ph up a few points to 6.7-6.8 and take run off reading tey ti get run off in 6.5 range
I water feed water feed
I also feed at full strength as per mfg feeding charts
I’ll feed less if my girls dint need as much meaning ill feed a 1/2 gal instead of 1 gal
I find this is better method and ensures plants get all the nutrients they need
Then feeding 1/2 strength and starving your plants
The tacoing leaves can be from lights being to close see if moving lights helps give it a few days
Listen to the wise ones, but my thought is phosphorous def. Remember also, a deficiency has been going on already a couple weeks before we even see a sign.
that sounds like tou where in a good range before thebflush @HJL
Sorry what brand of nutrients are you using again
Its hard for me to keep track of all tje threads i follow lol
If I had to guess, you’re seeing a little bit of phosphorus deficiency. That could either be from ph being slightly out of range, or not switching to a transitional feed schedule. Potentially a little bit of both. You’re almost a week from flip right? That’s about a week after most schedules call for addition of bloom nutes and getting into the time when an advanced schedule would call for a pk boost.
This is just as I thought it would go. All plants are diff, but I have noted (for myself) to administer some bloom nutes after three good weeks of veg because they are going to show me signs in a couple weeks that they need more Phos.
@dbrn32@Donaldj@Countryboyjvd1971
Dec 23 six gallon flush
Dec 27 Watered with 1/8 tsp of epsom salt + grow nutes + CalMag ppm in 671 pH 6.5 ppm out 772 pH 6.4
Dec 31 flipped to 12-12 Watered with half gro + half bloom + Rapid Start + CaMg ppm in 581 pH 6.9 ppm out 734 pH 6.6
Jan 3 Just 2 L water with 1/8 tsp of epsom salt. ppm out 487 pH 6.9
I’m following the GH nutrient feed schedule. Been on a feed feed water routine usually every 4 days. She’s in a 3 gallon smart pot. (I know it should be a 5 gallon for photo)
I have taken some clones from her on Dec 29th. They are doing okay but not sign of roots yet.
GH Flora Nova Series (Rapid Start, Flora Nova Grow, Flora Nova Bloom, Kool Bloom) suppose to be using Floralicious Plus but have not been able to get it)
Those ppm numbers look low i checked feed schedule for the flora nova line and you should be higher
Late veg you should be closer to 1500
You may be starving the girls
Can you post a picture of the schedule your using so i can see it ? @HJL
And as @Tr33 mentioned you dont need cal mag and Epsom salt use ine or the other in the future
Look like same schedule I looked at i dont use and haven’t tried rhe line but according to schedule the ppm are low
Top line tell you ppm range you should be feeding at
Depending on which week you in
I believe @kabongster uses the line exclusively so i tag him in just incase im missing something
I but i would bump ppm up if it was me
What are you using to read ppm ? Have tou calibrated the meter is your using a digital meter?
Perfect @Myfriendis410 then tou can help our friend out here
Ill step back since you use the line and i dont
Thanks for jumping in my brother
Your in good hands with him @HJL
I would confirm run off ph and tds/ppm there is slight tip burn on some leaves suggesting ppm is fairly close but ph could be out some. Also when measuring run off ppm dump and rinse tray and take run off from second tray many salts need to saturate enough to be mobile and picked up by run off so first quantity of run off is usually not close to accurate
Let me clarify in simple terms the nutrients (salts) dry like a crusty dish in the sink you need it to soak some to loosen the crusty dish likewise nutrients dry and act same way in medium
