First post and first grow here. This is my white widow auto and she is about to start week 13 from planting. I had little space to work with at the beginning so I kept her small, have since upgrade my space and my other white widow (photo) is loving the space. My main concern with my auto is the yellowing leaves. I’ve read it could be a sign of pests and nutrient problems,(which I’ve only been using fox farm organic dry amendments,) but I’ve also read it is also a sign the plant is nearing harvest? What is y’alls opinion on my grow? I have been keeping an eye on the trichomes, as I planned to use that to gauge when I should chop, but am now doing more research on other signs I should be paying attention to and would love to hear and learn from others’ experiences.
at 13 weeks she maybe consuming her self . @Myfriendis410 @PurpNGold74 can you help
Thanks for the tag @Deepsix
Welcome to ILGM @jayb1u. Do you know how long she has been in flower? Definitely looks to be nearing the finish line. How are her trichs looking?
And specifically it looks like a K (potassium) deficiency. Useful as hell in flower.
Thank you @PurpNGold74
I believe it’s been about 7 weeks since I saw the first sign of flowering. Trichs are mostly cloudy, some are still clear. Have yet to really spot an amber trich yet.
Hey looks great regardless. Nice grow
i thought these were all shes lol
Uhh what? The plants a she correcr
@PurpNGold74 yes they are, not sure what @Deal reply is about lol
First; look this over and answer as much as you can. In particular what soil or media are you in?
What is your watering practice and with what? (i.e. tap, R/O etc)
How often and how much do you amend with dry nutes?
How are you measuring PH? Do you have a TDS meter?
COPY/PASTE the below list into your forum post.
Answer these simple questions the best you can.
If you do not know, or do not use something; Just say so; Or post

Thanks!
You have a couple of things going on it looks like to me. I am concerned that roots may be bound (too late to address now) along with some N toxicity and looks like calcium and N deficiency (which is why I ask about watering and PH as likely had a nutrient lockout at some point) Good call @PurpNGold74 on the K as well.
It would be really good to do a runoff TDS to see just what salts are remaining.
This late in it’s life cycle it’s not necessarily bad that plant looks a little ‘scruffy’ haha. I would do a prolonged flush (like 2 weeks) while monitoring runoff before harvesting.
Man im outta likes but always appreciate the calm mind
I am using MG Nature’s Care Organic soil and I added in some perlite, I am wanting to explore other soils though as I have seen mostly negative reviews on using MG for cannabis.
I am watering with dechlorinated tap water with a ph ranging from 6.0-7.0. I wait until the top inch of the soil feels dry then water, I also pay attention to how heavy the pot feels and that can play a factor into when I water.
The Nature’s care soil I initially bought said it came “pre-loaded” with nutrients so I waited until one month into veg to top dress. I used about a third of a cup to top dress in week 5, haven’t given nutes since, (which is probably one of my problems lol.)
Measuring ph with a ph meter I got on amazon, no I don’t have a TDS meter.
- What strain, Seed bank, or bag seed: White Widow Auto from Phoenix Seeds. Seed bank: seedsman
- Method: Organic soil- MG Nature’s Care Organic Soil, perlite added
- Vessels: 1.5 gallon pots
- PH of Water: 6.0-7.0
- PPM/TDS or EC of nutrient solution: NA
- Indoor or Outdoor: Indoor 4x2x5 grow tent
- Light system: Giixer 600W LED
- Temps: Day- ~75-80 F, Night- ~65-70 F (hard to precisely control temp where I am and with current setup)
- Humidity: Fluctuates between 55% and 73% constantly. (This has been hardest variable to control for me.)
- Ventilation system: Yes- 4in in-line exhaust fan 190 CFM with carbon filter
- AC, Humidifier, De-humidifier: small humidifier
I know I could use some upgrades on what I currently have and I definitely could use more tools to help refine my grows, and when budget and time allows I will definitely be upgrading my setup. I also plan on being more experimental with the amount of nutes I give my next grow so I can learn what is too much and what isn’t enough. Wishing I would have joined this forum a long time ago now
Dont we all… ur in great hands tho man. Im more like peroxide for a wound. Myfriend is that iodine ish u use. Try to be thorough with ur answers and he will point you true everytime
Ha nice way to put it.
Well I sure appreciate y’all already. I know I got a lot to learn, hopefully now it’ll be easier rather than just trying to Google everything
That’s the problem combined with top dressing fertilizer. With a decent TDS meter you can flush to a salt level that won’t be toxic. Without it you are just guessing.
Yea. You cant really google problems when you honestly dont know how to word it. And theres soooo many different ways to make an omelette…
First grow?
Nearly identical situation…
- 5-6” tall @ 4 weeks (28 days) today
- x2 CDB Kush + x1 Amnesia Haze (autos)
- rock solid 73-75° F / 46-50% rH
- MG Nature’s Care (+ perlite, mycorrhiza)
- 1st feeding this week (GH micro/gro/bloom)
- alternating feed/flush when top 1” is dry
- water pH 6.5
- SpiderFarmer SF1000 currently 70%, 30”
- 18:6 light:dark
What am I doing wrong???
