i went for the cheap ones. the lowest price M7 are like $70. but im gonna have to spend the cash it looks like.
these $15 ones do not do what i need.
the quality of picture clarity is horrid. and thats really why i bought them.
i am not able to measure how much relief they are providing my eyes, in terms of blocking harmful rays.
but if the way pics look, say anything to that, its not good. safe to assume they are providing little protection.

obviously still very clear. but it looks like my $40 scope will do the trick of keeping track.

trichomes:
still mostly clear.
pistils at approx. 35% orange
so today is day #51. (average flowering time = 60 days)
pistils are 50-60% orange on all 4 plants. and no longer standing up, just about all have curled in.

its easy to be impatient, for sure.
but i am more concerned that there may be a problem, so close to the finish line.
after accidentally over-doing it with the DE application. and rinsing off more than i ever have before…the slightly different color is just something i noticed.
last night though i watched a lot of Jorge Cervantes videos. that guy is funny lol. but, after watching him dunk huge buds in water and even shower entire plants in the shower. i realize i am most likely just paranoid. right?
RH spiked when i showered plants. but only briefly, it got back down in the mid-high 30’s after not too long.
plus i gave them a good shake and have extra fans drying everything.

what i see is: mostly cloudy on all 4 pics. and some amber.
also, i read that when tric’ head start to mushroom and tip over like many of them are in those pics…its time, yes?

quality of this usbScope is the pits.
They look good. I like to flush my WW when I have about 10% amber trich’s. But that’s all personal choice depending on desired effect.
I have only used regular water for entire grow.
So I’m a little foggy on how to flush in my case.
I’m told with fully organic soil, really not needed.
You don’t have to flush. But even when I grow in organic soil, I flush to try and eliminate as much nitrogen as possible. I want my girls to yellow off a bit for a smoother, better tasting smoke.

so, just flush like someone normally would?
test ppm of runoff and it should decrease as i flush, yes?

flushing went well. in the 2 days since, ive noticed more yellowing occurring.
but i have another question, how long after flush am i ready to chop?
i got a better scope in mail today,.it doesnt take pics but lets me see really clearly. all 4 plants showing amber in trichomes. the ones that arent amber are definitely milky.
because of my organic soil…and the fact that i had added 2 inches of fresh(hot) soil to bottom of containers about 2-3 weeks ago. i suspect that is why not many leaves have yellowed, despite trichomes showing signs of maturity?
im trying to be patient, to get the best results…but some confirmation would be very helpful.

Once to many trichs start going amber the THC content will begin to decrease. I go by trich color exclusively, not the leafs yellowing

Buds separated and trimmed:
489(wet)grams in that bucket, sugar leaves/shake/tiny buds in bottom of bucket.
Hung in tent:
37%-45%RH. no lights. the other 3 plants will have to stay in dark until i chop the rest. all fans/vents still operational.
common knowledge says dry weight = approx. 1/4 of wet weight.
or about 75%-80% loss in weight.
time will tell…
