White Widow Auto DWC Help!

I use 3 mill per gallon of cal-mag solution every time I feed…
Never have any cal-mag issues… :+1:
I use same brand…
:v::sunglasses:

I will bump up to that tomorrow since its time for a res change and see how she responds. I was afraid of nutrient burn early on

How much of an air gap do you have between the bottom of the net pot and the water/solution???

Yea might be in the water but the roots are barely getting damp try bringing your water lvl up there’s 2 gals between in a 6 gal pale of 4 gallons… I use 3 to 7 ml of cal mag per feeding once established but since your in hydro you can’t slack on one nutrient for 1 minute you need to be check every box every time if your low on anything in your mix you dojt got soil to buffer your mistakes

Good call on the PH meter @HappyHydroGrower

And @repins12 & @fano_man make valid points about Res level so ensure this is all up to snuff.

@HappyHydroGrower and @peachfuzz
You guys think 155ppm is enough food???

I haven’t done dwc myself but my autopots would die at that level and looking at the GH char it’s wayyyy low, as well this plant clearly doesn’t have enough nitrogen and looks hungry to me.

Seems a lil low in hydro

No , I would be around 250 to 325 at that point…
My nutrient mixture never changes , if the plants are small , by the way , i use 3 gallon buckets for vegg at the moment…
But if the plants are just starting out , i will add one gallon of nutrients and 2 gallons of good ph’d water…
As they get a little older , then i add 2 gallons of nutrients and 1 gallon of good ph’d water…
And when they are full on vegging , i add 3 gallons of nutrients with no water to buffer it down…
My recipe is to one gallon of water…
1 mill armor si
3 mill cal-mag
4 mill micro
2 mill bloom
6 mill grow
2 mill diamond nectar
2 mill hydrogard
1 mill orca
1 mill hormex
That recipe never changes until i go into flower… :+1::wink:
And mixed in that order…

@peachfuzz makes it sound so easy that I wanna go hydro but I’m broke during this move maybe 1 day

Bump up the nutes and calmag and raise light, less light is better when plants are having issues.

I’ll be here for you when you do…
@fano_man :+1::wink::grin:
:v::sunglasses:

There is about a 3inch gap between the water and the net pot, maybe a little less

At the current stage the plant is in, what would you recommend for the nutrient mixing? I was a little confused by your mixing chart. Should I do the amounts you listed per one gallon of water? Or 2 gallons of nutrient mix followed by 2 gallons of pH water to buffer and bring the mix the to around the desired ppm?

If you did my mix with 2 gallons of solution and 2 gallons of good ph’d water with a starting ppm of 15 or less , it will probably put you at 250 to 400 ppm , I would think…
At your plants age right now , I wouldn’t want to go over 400 ppm…
:v::sunglasses:

Maybe I will try it with 1 gallon of solution to 3 gallons of pH water. I am using RO water and so far it hasn’t been over 5ppms. I am going to aim for somewhere between 250 and 350ppms. Since I am using a 6 gallon bucket, 4 to 4 1/2 gallons puts right around where I need to be for my water level anything more would be touching the net pot.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking but I held my opinion because I’m not in full hydro I’m in my autopots with coco lol.

@peachfuzz @Hellraiser

Hey everyone, quick update. Did a res change on the plant! I followed @peachfuzz guide except I did 2gallons of nutrient to 2 gallons of pH RO water since I’m using 4 gallons of water.

2ml Armor Si (let sit for 30 minutes after mixing/plus the air stone before adding other nutrients)
6ml CalMag
8ml Micro
4ml Bloom
12ml Grow
4ml Diamond Nectar
4ml Hydroguard
3ml Rapid Start

The water is roughly 1 1/2 to 2 inches from the bottom of the net pot.

PPMS:347-350. I’ll check again in a few hours to see if there’s any fluctuations.

pH down to 5.82

I also dimmed the lights down to 150 watts and placed them at 21 inches from the top of the plant. I will add pictures in a day or two so she can have a little time to adjust and see how she responds.

I knew that you would be close to your target ppm with that recipe…
I’ve been doing this so long , I even surprise myself sometimes… lol :+1::wink:
She will be looking better within 3 days…:+1:
:v::sunglasses:

Thank you for the insight! Should I just follow that recipe through veg and just adjust accordingly? Is there any huge change other than a few ML’s for most of the nutrients?

I would stay where your at for another week or 2 , then bump up to 500 ppm’s by using less buffer water…
In 3 weeks , give it 3 gallons of solution and only 1 gallon of good ph’d water and see where your ppm’s are…
Probably somewhere in between 450 and 550 or maybe a little less…
Let’s see how she does before you go too crazy… :wink::grin::+1:
Stay your course for the next couple of weeks , unless she takes off and starts growing like crazy , then you will bump up you nutrients to keep up…
We will let the plant tell us what she wants… :wink:
:v::sunglasses:

The chart also says use them as a 3-2-1 system!

Nutrients recommendations by the manufacturer.

3ml gro /gal
2ml micro /gal
1ml bloom / gal

Cal mag first you water always and hopefully your all gh products and got the magicali also

Your plant is starving feed it correctly
