Which quantum boards

Or simply if you have a stretchy and a shorty.

Yes they do.

Yep. My total build will most likely have 4 135’s total. I want dense wedding dick hard nugs on my plants.

Now THAT’s funny, I don’t care who you are - GET-R-DUN!

You could probably save some cash running two boards from single driver. Just buy individual heatsinks and frame them up so they have some adjustability. Keep the two you have free if you have a height issue.

Didn’t realize one driver would power both. I assumed a 135 watt driver split into two would make them essentially 67 watt lights then

It will. But if you opted for something like an hlg-240 on the next it would run two boards about 115 watts each.

I am thinking more along the lines of each 135 having its own everything (heat-sink, driver, whatever), just a string of them being hooked to the same power source and dimmer.

If each was individually controllable (dimmable) fine, but just the height adjustment for individual plants is a biggie - but if I am thinking down the wrong path for an eventual “large” grow room, please don’t hesitate to present ‘brakes’

Right now convienince out weighs the cost factor. If I find something good I don’t mind spending the money on it

They are individually dimmable

You’re probably putting too much value into the adjustable height. These boards can be run well under 12” if need be. For two boards, sure it has some value. But for 4 boards, two separate fixtures would be plenty of adjustability. With the cost being a reasonable factor. Buying 4 hlg 120’s will run about $180. Buying two hlg 240’s will run about $120. The heatsinks maybe not as big of an issue, and depends a lot on shape of space. The slate 2 triple is 3x the size of single and offers a lot more cooling capability for two boards than a single does for 1 board. But that doesn’t fit all spaces either.

When you take into account the efficiency gains of a little lower driver output current and improved cooling capabilities, a 2 board 260 kit is efficiency wise a superior light than two 135 kits. And it’s cheaper.

I wasn’t home all day and of course i darted past my kids and went straight to the weed dungeon. I swear my plants have grown 4 inches since I put the new lights in. Wow. Even gimpy is starting to put on some growth. What a good investment.
