Which light should I choose

U talking to me

I onboard? Is that ac infinity’s line of lights?

Yes it is. I read the ionboard is new

As mentioned in my comment above to cat my original cart was with vivosun. I went to a/c infinity and had a cart there as well. I like ac infinity and the only reason I didn’t get there stuff is because their biggest light was only made for a 4x4 tent. I wanted the 5x5 to perfectly fill in a space I had in mind . Otherwise I would have bought the ac infinity. Just one little split decision away from going with them.
I wish I could tell you with experience how their light is . But I do have their line of tent and their cloud line t-6 inline fan . Im happy with their line of products . Also have spoke with their customer service , they seem to be a good and solid team/company.

Having said that I also hear good stuff about hlg lights. You can always piece together both if ya want. But also like I see others saying eventually your going to want to upgrade. Just my opinion is it’s better to save and buy it right the first time rather then spend money to later wish that money would have been towards a better light.
It’s kinda like a motto I" try" to live by… *Pay now or pay later " usually paying later is allot harder with extra consequences.

Check out Grow Light Science. Their Grow 300 would be perfect in a 2x4…and it’s right at your budget. I have 2 Grow 300’s in a 4x4 tent,A HLG 650R in a 2nd 4x4, and a GeekBeast 630 in a 3rd 4x4. All my plants are from clones from my mother plants, grown in ProMix HP, fed with Jacks321, and are all in pretty much identical environments, as the tents are all in one room. The Grow Light Science lights have consistently given me the tightest buds and largest yields, with the GeekBeast 2nd, and HLG a close third. If I had to choose lights over again, I would go with Grow Light Science, as it has consistently given me at least an ounce more, sometimes 2, in yield.
Now that being said, you are never going to convince a person that bought HLG’s, Chilled, Gavitas, etc. that there may be better lights out there. There’s growers on here who have great results with cheap China lights from Alibaba. My only suggestion is that the light you choose has Samsung diodes, and a decent driver, such as meanwell.

@Time2share i dont run the growers choice uv-r but i do run HLG UVA lights and California lightworks UVB lights. I have 2 roi e720 daisy chained together and hooked up to the master controller

It has received strong reviews. What Samsung Diodes are in it?
Other than saying they are top bin I couldn’t find model

Ok I was just wondering what your opinion on them was if in fact you did have them. I’m told they help ramp up resin production in late flowering weeks. But am getting about an even mixed ratio of opinions from people on wether or not they are worth having. Some say yes but sone say they didn’t notice a big difference. They’re only 180 bucks and more than likely I will probably get a pair when I get closer to that time. But if I get alot of folk saying they aren’t doing anything than it may change my mind a bit. I’m also running co2 and plan on making out my 115 percent of the light in flowering stage to do that may help make a difference. What’s your thoughts on that?

@beardless my grow 300’s are around 2 years old and use 301b diodes. I think their new lights have the 301h diodes. I spoke in depth with their sales rep before I purchased them. ( I think his name was Scott). He answered all my questions, and looking at my results, he answered them honestly…

Unfortunately there are a bunch of claims for things that do this. Whether they do or dont is up in the air. A lot of it is bro science but @dbrn32 is our lighting expert so ill let him chime in on the uvr subject. For 180 bucks you could get almost 2 uva or uvb bars that have the same claims. I was on the fence about uvr but decided to go with uva and uvb. Never ran my lights that high or ran co2 either but it sounds like your gonna have your hands full when that time comes

I’ve been running my CO2 since 2nd week of veg. I know there are many on this forum that don’t care for CO2 on small grows but after all I researched and what I’m seeing I’m glad I have it.

What’s the highest you run your lights at? And for autos or photos?

A lot of sellers / mfg use the term top bin. As you know top bin 283 is not the same as 301b/h.
Thanks.

Yeah I was leaning towards getting them anyway. Figured at worst it couldn’t hurt and they’re only 180 bucks.
I do want to stick with g.c though .( Although the scorpion diablo was one I was considering when I picked up the package deal that I currently have. It had a package deal with pretty much the same stuff but hundreds more .
If I was to pick up a different light it would be the scorpion diablo or the photontek xt1000 pro co2 led. Both of those are top of food chain from what I’ve looked at yet. But would have to get another master controller and all that is just so expensive. .
If anything I’ll get another ROI 720 and daisy chain to the one I have. They are still one of the best leds out there. Unless I have an opportunity to grow for like a dispensary or something I just don’t see needing anything more than what I have.

Ive had it up to 85% i believe. Currently at 75% now but my plants are pretty close to the light. I try to stay around 1000-1100 ppfd in flower. Ive only grown photoperiod plants so far. Next time i get seeds i want to get some autos for shits and grins

Oh ok. I have mine at 80 now but a couple feet away from canopy. Am still only in my 3rd week of veg and running around 800 ppfd. I do plan on vegging as long as I possibly can to though. I want my tent to be loaded from side to side and as high as I possibly can get them. Have 5 fem zkittlzz ( ilgm) and a couple seedlings of " made of honor" ( twenty20 Mendocino) .
Im thinking since I’m running co2 I should be able to get near 1500ppfd without burning them. I guess we will find out though shall we? :+1:
I’m just glad I got involved with this forum. Got some good people’s to help get me through this. Like @anon72256435 and a few others have been a great deal of help so far. Even if it’s just telling me everything looks good and looks to be on track or not is a huge amount of stress relief. :joy::+1:
Is allot more to growing than I originally anticipated for sure.
Anyway I’m about 90 percent convinced I’m going to snag a pair of the uv bars. I’ll tag you in on my journal and depending on how things go perhaps may nudge you to getting a pair in future or be happy that you didn’t waste your money :joy:

Thanks for checking it out and explaining that to me. That settles things then, won’t start flowering for at least a few more weeks but imma going pounce on a set of them. :+1:

@Time2share sounds good brother! Ill be here to help whenever i can and sounds like your off to a good start with some kickass equipment

This just people being honest. I would expect your results to be somewhere between the two.

My words, as well. AC-Infinity has good customer service. the S6/T6 fan CFM is from them
