I know autos do their thing on their own. Ive been doing 18/6 at 50-60% intensity and i can clearly see that i hit preflower/week 1 flower. Go me for getting here!
Should i flip to 12/12 or keep it at 18/6?
Sorry for the dumb question, first time growing a autoflower.
I tried an auto at 12/12 once and it was garbage. I just ran these two at 20/4, they turned out spot on. Kicking up the lights now would be fine if heat isn’t an issue.
nah man, im a newbie when growing autos. I just throw a few in with my photo grows for a little variation. Some will go 18/6 and some will stay in the flower room with 12/12.
@Scratchy LOL, mine was absolute shit, nobody would smoke it, I ended up tossing 2oz. on the fire pit and stinking up the entire neighborhood…granted, it was my first auto attempt.
You can keep them on 18/6 and go 12/12 late in flower. I’ve grown autos on 18/6, 12/12 and 6/2. I’ll cut back the lighting hours in flower if I start seeing foxtails or the temps get too high
Umm. I know I haven’t been around for awhile. Nor am I an expert on autos. But the amount of hours you give an auto is surely still based on DLI. Meaning it depends on how bright your light it. You give it as much light as it should require. Based on how small your plants are I would imagine you were never meeting DLI and have a small light. You’d probably be best keeping them on a 16/8. That’s why the main sight says newbies should try auto. Lack of DLI. But honestly photoperiod is easiest if you actually bought the proper equipment.
