When and how to flush

I am about to enter week 7 of flower and was wondering when to start flushing. I know it goes by look of the trichomes and that every grow is different. I am growing amnesia haze and I read 9 week flower. Does that mean flush after 9 weeks or at week 7 or when the trichomes are milky? I am using the fox farms trio and the feeding guide still says to feed into weeks 7 and 8 of flower. Should I do that and then flush or what exactly? Also when I do begin the flush, what are the proper steps?

Not that I subscribe to “flushing,” but if I did, I’d want to know what medium your in.

My posts are limited since I’m new. I thought you had to flush for a good taste. Im using fox farms coco loco.

Assuming you’ve been feeding nutrients with water (fertigation), I’d be tapering the ppm down by the point that the fan leaves start really dying off from the bottom up. I’d step down gradually from your current concentration to 1/4 strength. When I felt the plant(s) were ready, I’d give them plain water with a few drops of Dr. Bronner’s baby soap per liter, and between 12-72 hours of darkness.

Those steps may stress the plant and elicit a mild increase in terpenes. But you cannot cleanse the plant of impurities by pumping water through it. Is that making sense?

@KeystoneCops Total newbie here too, so you dont recomend flushing? The nutrients I have tell me to feed the plant untl the very last week of flower. Thought it was weird to flush out what was recommended by ILGM. I used the ILGM nutes and have been very happy so far. Only issues were pH, used Brita water instead of purified. Any help would be appreciated!
