What's your opinion on flushing

I was once told since I’m feeding nothing but compost tea i can feed right up until harvest. No need to flush. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Even experienced growers using synthetics rarely flush for a harvest. Organic growers have even less reason to do a flush.

Im in coco w/Jack’s and feed up til harvest. The general consensus is that it makes no difference, unless you want to save on nutes.

In my experience if it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down…

Ok all joking aside. Flushing imho is to fix a lockout, pH problem ect or at the end to save money on nutrients..

Could not agree more with @MidwestGuy and @SausageMahoney

Everything I read and tried myself showed no significant difference. So, like @SausageMahoney said ride the lightning until the end .

Happy growing brother.

Simple answer - Leaves store chemicals but the buds don’t. We consume the buds.

For real what happened and damn that sucks I’ve got more though but that one was starting to mature but you live and learn it’s just odd one night. Here’s what it looked like the days prior

If youre in soil and organic, no flush is needed. If youre using synthetics and have accumulated salt build up, id flush definitely

I’m planted outside directly in the ground. I’ve never owned a ph meter or any of that stuff

Wish I was able to plant outside. Perfect conditions for it around here

We get 12 plants here in Michigan. As long as your neighbors don’t complain you can pretty much grow anywhere on your property. If they do complain then you gotta keep them out of view.

This is a controversial topic for sure, lol. Many are strongly against or for this. Scientifically though, plants are far smarter than most realize. They know exactly what they need and even have ways of getting such things when there’s none available to them. They communicate with microbes chemically. Which can in turn break materials down releasing nutrients. So basically the thought of removing nutrients coinciding with flower taste, is completely false

Mine grew outside last year i only watered it a few time during dry spells other than that it just nutes that are in my soil in the ground. I’m in ohio lol we’re neighbors :joy: and i wish i could do a setup like that outside that’s so awesome

And here in Michigan you know who grows just by driving down the road, some days it’s a dank smelling ride through the county and beyond. Been awesome not worrying, I do not grow all 12 no more room for more than 6 in storage at the end.

So I should even worry about flushing these I’m getting close to the finish line. If it’s not something that’s going to make a difference I won’t even worry bout it but if so I need to start on the purple one it’s next watering.
