What is your style of growing and nutrient lineup? The main purpose of flushing is to remove excess salt buildup.

“Flushing” before harvest has been shown to have no detectable effect on the final buds. Many folks swear by it. Growers choice.

I think the theory comes from synthetic growers not realizing they were having excess nitrogen in late flower which impacts smoothness and flavor. If nutrients are properly managed a flush is never actually needed to avoid that though as noted above. The Bugbee clip below.

Usually 2 weeks b4 harvest. The myth behind the flush is to remove all the chemical/nutrients from the plant. It supposed to make smoking the weed less harsh and smoother smoke, its also supposed to make the plant smell and taste better. I think its personal preference.

How to flush?

@ChittyChittyBangin hit the nail on the head! It all depends your style and nutrients you are using.

I grow organic and never flushed any of my runs. I water the last week or so with no nutes but that’s just to save money because they don’t need them.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Plus, if you grow organic, you definitely don’t need to worry about it. I switched to organic, and will never go back.
