I planted 4 of these white widow autos exactly 2 weeks ago. All 4 are planted in 3 gallon buckets with Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil. They are all growing steadily, however the third one is thinner, yellowing some along with the leaves curling slightly. They have all been watered the same amount at the same time and have received 1 dose of the fox farms big bloom. What’s up with plant number 2?image|375x500
@Jack313 Welcome to the community.
The first picture the plant looks very wet.
Welcome to the community, that FFOF medium is hot as in the preloaded/amended nutrients that come in the medium. Typically this medium will last you about 5 weeks with PH water only. Looks to be suffering from nitrogen toxicity and maybe some over watering. I would suggest not feeding nutrients and water only. ![]()
Too early to be feeding in ocean forest. What are you setting ph to?
The PH is currently at 7
This being pretty fresh you could probably do a slurry test to check ph of your soil. But I usually had best results between 6 and 6.5. I found fox farms to be very inconsistent though, so hard to say.
Yep I didn’t have much issues when I did ffof running between 6.5 and 6.8 at most if u use tap water I ran a lower pH like the 6.5 if I did ro I set it 6.8 as the pH never seems to change on me with ro water like the tap did.
These guys got you good advice.
When you water and your seedlings are small enough, you can use a clear solo cup or cut the top off a clear 2 liter soda bottle. When you water, put the cup/bottle over the seedling and water around it. Do not put water right on the seedlings. This will help with root growth as they reach for the water. Do NOT water right up to or on the plant.
Marijuana seedlings do not need much water, you will drown them or rot the roots. Only water when the soil when it is dry; and I mean dry, not just the top inch of soil, all the way down… one step from being dryer than a popcorn fart. You want the container to feel very light when you pick it up and I wait until the leaves are drooping, asking for water. Do not water these like tomatoes or basil or beans… whatever.
