This one?
@dmykins, that’s the one!
@Myfriendis410 you are awesome, I am gonna go get some tonight.
They look fine to me. You might think about transplanting into a fabric pot for better aeration or punch a bunch of holes in the bucket? you have them in. But they look good.
@Myfriendis410 It’s hard to see, but they are in fabric pots. I haven’t done any nutrients yet. I purchased them, not 100% sure when to start.
They look like they’re about 12"? You’re close, but I would wait about 2 weeks. They look very happy, so let the plants tell you.
If you wish to start a nutrient program you could start at 1/4 strength now and slowly ramp up over time to full strength. Feed per the manufacturer schedule. Usually every other watering. If you can, print their schedule, figure about where you are in the growth cycle and use that as a reference to build a grow chart. It’s a good exercise to document so you know where you are.
@Myfriendis410 yea they are probably close to 12". I will get the feed schedule and print it and hang it in my basement. Is it safe to assume they are currently in veg?
Oh, yeah. What are you growing? Photo or auto? If they’re autos just keep em on your lighting schedule (18/6, 14/10, whatever) and they’ll do their thing. Photo periods will veg as long as the light stays longer than 12/12. I don’t have any experience with autos.
@Myfriendis410 they are autos. With that said, does it change anything for nutrients and feeding since they just do what they do?
I follow the chart the nutrient manufacture gives. The only thing I do different, is when I start seeing flower, I skip ahead to the start of flowering on their schedule.
Perfect, I will download the chart now!
Also look at what kind of pruning techniques and when are recommended for autos. It can make a huge difference on yields, I understand.
@Myfriendis410 so I purchased 7.0 reference solution, I placed my PH meter in there and it reads 7.34 :(. So I am assuming it should read 7 for a calibrated meter? Can I use 7.34 as a reference and assume the meter is off .34 on the basic side and go from there if that makes sense?
ok what is the temp it makes a difference…but yea calibrate to 7.0 in that solution if temp is correct
@BIGE do you mean liquid temp or ambient air temp? I am not 100% sure of the liquid temp, I know it was at least room temperature and not freezing.
I would purchase another meter of higher quality as soon as you can.
@Myfriendis410 what do you have/rely on/recommend?
I’m using a cheaper yellow pen that I can calibrate but the one I’m going to order is the Apera. It’s around $45 on Amazon. I have found that the inexpensive pens will work so long as you can calibrate them and keep the probes moist with the GH reference solution.
