What kind nutrients do you use?

So, I’ve been using low doses of this very simple store-bought Kelp based fertilizer for houseplants (the houseplants love it, so I figured lets do so on the Cannabis plants too).

It kind of smells like molasses, very sweet, and I have the feeling that adding this regularly really helps feed microbial live and supports a healthy living soil.

I use this in conjunction with the ILGM ferts and other NPK ferts. But, it really made me wonder what everyone’s go to is with regards to a complete feeding regiment. Any tips or tricks you want to share?

I used to love the ole DIY banana peel flowering booster as well (just haven’t eaten a lot of bananas lately, lol).

I have a very basic approach. I use Roots Organic dry nutrients with no additional supplements. I roughly follow their recommended dosage, top dressing weekly.

New grower here so my experience is very limited, I’ve been using the General hydroponics trio in my coco setup supplementing calmag and armor Si when necessary, you do have to prep your coco with calmag before planting though… I lost a few good seeds to learn that one…

I had been using the gen hydro flora Nova grow and bloom till this past summer.
Worked excellent for me with no additives. I go lighter on the feeds than recommended ( 750 ish ppm ) which seemed to help prevent burning.
Switched to the canna bio line for the outdoor run this year.
Also works very well.

A Jacks fan here until lately, I’ve been on Mega Crop one part, stupid easy to mix, I’ve gotten to where I throw a measured amount in 5 gallons of water and feed it, PH comes out at 5.99 every bucket, EC is right at 1.3 and I feed it every other day, no plain water days, feed every watering. These are 21 days from flip and that’s what they starting day one on.

By the way @Olaf.ILGM , these are 4 of my BlackBerry crosses and 3 of Dells Kona Reds. 3 of each going.

Same here. Just my tap water, parts A & B, and Epsom. And pH Down to adjust my solution to 5.8 for my hydro and coco grows. In soil, I don’t bother.

I am gonna try the MC one part. Just wish it wasn’t made in China.

Well I’ve been using the CX horticulture nutrients for a few months. They are okay in my book, only thing is all the bottles I have to mix in my water LOL but after my mixing with my tap water my pH always falls in range between 6.4 and 7. I just got a small well tiny kit of Jack’s so going to give that a try here soon

I use Jacks and Silica, growing in coco. I don’t use Epsom, like the Jack Peters Site calls for. I use Parts A and B, mixed at 4g/2g per gallon, after adding X amount of silica. If need, I will change these ratios depending on where I am in the grow, but haven’t used Epsom salt for a couple of years. This is my current Apple Fritter by ILGM, coming down in 2½ weeks or so…

Edit/add… My source is my dehumidifier coming out between 5-15ppm.

Jack’s with silica and an MKP jolt at transition. From first feeding to last.

Holy smokes Growdoc - what strain is that?

^ That’s my biggest gripe.

I’ve been wondering about that, particularly since part A already has magnesium and sulfur in it.

Jacks A and B nothing else, and Mega Crop 1 now adays :+1:

That was not strictly true. I do add Epsom Salt to my water.

Anyone using Mycorrhiza, Kelp or Molasses (if you’re growing living soil)? Or do the nutrients you use include any pro-microbial ingredients?

I add this to my Roots Organic Original soil as I prepare the soil before transplanting.

Yeah its definitely mostly used for transplantation. I see some products include it as a soil booster as well, though. Can’t imagine it hurst adding more Mycorrhiza and doing so regularly - haven’t tried it myself though.

I’ve been a Masterblend 3-part nutrients user for most of my 3 major grows. It was recommended to me by a Master Gardener at the state fair a few years ago. We were talking about veggies and flowers. Then I asked about cannabis. Her eyes lit up and she looked around and kinda whispered " use at about 1/2 strength for in ground flowers and veggies. Go full strength for the Mota’, you’ll like the results " Must have been about 70 years old. I seem to get good results. I did use the CX Nutrients on one plant on the GFOG Community Grow. Taller, not as bulky, but could have just been the plant itself. Hoping to try the 2-part King Solomon nutrients I got as a freebie at the LA Grow Club event last week on a plant in my next grow. Hope that helps @Olaf.ILGM . Do take care.
