Got a wierd one,two taproots…Anybody seen this before,
I have never seen this before although it is my first grow ever. But I did some research for ya and this is what I found.
It’s most likely twins df, get ready to separate them quick if you want to save both plants.
Here’s the link I found some answers too for ya. Good luck Growmie !

This should be interesting, thanks for the info!
No,it sprouted two taproots and then it came up with one in the ground and the one you see sticking out.
I’ve had similar. Unfortunately didn’t make it ![]()
Ya,Ill be interested to see what happens. I’m thinking of snipping the one above ground off.
I certainly don’t think it will hurt to do so, on the thread I tagged you in I believe someone said that they have done that and everything turned out ok.
I would definitely just watch a video to make sure you do it right because it is a pretty rare occurrence.
I’ll tag in some growmies that has been giving me some pointers and see if they have any recommendations as well.
That’s interesting. I’ve seen them upside down and even with no cotyledon, but I haven’t seen twins before.
Thanks!
Me either.
I had this during water germination, but only grew one plant. It was like one side of plant was identical to other side. Ran with it till term. Was a waste of time, but now I know.
Ya,its not looking good for this one.The helmet wouldn’t come off and when I helped it it came off but no first set of leaves, just a stem so far.Probably a waste. Thanks for the heads up.
Just an update, out of 20 seeds none have progressed past the 2nd leaf stage before dying.Seedlings are weak looking and some never sprouted. Im posting thse pictures for Customer Service to see. They wanted some pictures so here they are.I cant email photos.Processing: 17241833595341804536861858531783.jpg…
How often were you watering and did you germinate before placing into soil ?
Only watering by misting when needed.Yes,they were sprouted before planting. 6 never sprouted, the rest came up missing cyclodons, looking yellow and died ![]()
How is the humidity and temperature ?? I know seedlings like it between 70-80% humidity. And on the more warmer side with temp.
Light could be to strong on them.
Do a slurry test of your soil could be hot soil.
Did you spray while the lights were on and have the light to close to where you burnt them ?
Lights are fine humidity is acceptable soil is working fine with my other seeds. No light burn.Just a bad batch of seeds I think ![]()
