What are these spots on my leaves

Hey everyone this is my baby Northern Lights autoflower and I’m noticing that the leaves have blotchy spots on them, but I have 4 plants in the same tent, the GSC and the purple kush and white widow are all perfectly fine but this is the only one with these markings on the leaves. Does anyone know what or why this is only happening to this little lady… Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

The other day I accidentally sprayed her with some water, could this be why?

No, spraying with water shouldn’t cause that. What is she growing in?

She’s growing in Fox farm happy frog with nature’s living soil. Should I pull it or keep it going?

Variegation

Here is one of mine: Amnesia Haze. Completely normal and nothing to worry about.

New leaves do all kinds of silly things, few of mine got all wavy looking.

The way I think of it is the recessive genes are fighting the dominant ones… sort of like a brown dog mating with a white dog… and you sometimes get a spotted brown and and white puppy.

By the way, my variegated plant from my last grow had the second biggest yield although that is just coincidence

Wow that’s awesome. I really never heard of that. But I’m reading up on it now. Thanks for the knowledge. Much appreciated.

When you say recessive genes fighting the dominant ones you mean the Northern Lights genes with the ruderalis genes???

Northern Lights itself is a cross between X indica and Y sativa.

My understanding is that the cross breeding causes lots of possibilities for variation. Look at these two Northern Lights I grew at the same time…

That’s insane. But very interesting. I’m researching it now

Purists will clone their photos for maximization.

On the other hand, people like me just like the variation… makes it more interesting. Same GENERAL effect indica vs sativa… but still different.

Well, remember that there are families where none of the children look alike. Same thing with weed plants.

Sometimes, the Ruderalis in them wins the battle of the genes…

Here is Audrey. She is 28 days old, in flower, and 3 inches tall.

It happens.

I’m with everyone else. File it under “new leaf weirdness.” Every plant has it - sometimes it only grows 2 fingers, sometimes the leaves are twisted and strange, sometimes they’re variegated. No big deal! She’ll probably grow out of it. :v:

Here’s my variegated mutant.

She’s kind of a mess - but if you zoom in on her fan leaves you can see she never grew out of hers - leaves are still variegated. :100:
