What are these on my Strawberry Kush plant?

I am in the 5th day of the 4th week of flowering Strawberry Kush seeds from ILGM. I am a little concerned of what could the white powder like things on some leaves could be. Furthermore, I am not sure what these little bulbs mean on the stem. It there something I should be worried about?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I’m not expert. But your plant hermied and all the stuff you see is pollen that was released. Is this your only plant ? I think you are about to have a lot of seeds

Hi thanks for your reply. Since I am a first grower I had to check the definition of Hermie. I actually have 2 other plants next to it. Only this plant is hermied though. This one was planted 5 weeks before the remaining 2 but I ran into soil and lighting issues. The other 2 plants were planted on 22 February and caught up quickly.
So what is the meaning of this and should I be doing something about it?

Well like stated. I’m no expert so u have a few options. Chop that plant down bc the other doesn’t look like pistils have come out and is in full flower.
Or grow it out and just know you will have a ton of seeds in your weed to pick out.
But of course if cut it down pollen could still be in tent and end up pollinating the other 2.
I’ll tag some people in here for you. So you can get some expert opinion !

These guys will get you squared away! Probably be about an hour or 2 minimum tho.
Sorry for you luck!

Not too sure how to get in touch with them because I am not able to send a private message. How does this work?

Tbhey will come and answer back on the message josh called them out. U can tag a name by putting the @symbol in front of the name like so @FredW. Good luck. If just the one and all the sacs i see open already the damage os done. Id just let it ride this grow and watch the next grow a little closer make sure to off the dudes or hermies. Good luck and welcome

Thanks for the advice Mark. So you mean I should get rid of all 3 now or just the one in question? The other 2 don’t show any sign of them being hermied.

@FredW

It means your plant self pollinated and spread pollen to the other 2 plants in the tent.
Suggest removing the hermie plant and spray down the other 2 , where they haven’t started to flower yet , with water to remove the pollen.
You’ll also have to wash /wipe down everything in the tent as well including all equipment.
Fans / heater / etc.
And you may still get seeds in the other 2 plants even after doing all that.
Pollen is extremely fine and gets everywhere
Good luck. :+1:
And welcome to ILGM. :wave::wave:

@Oldguy has u there. Id just leave the plant it dont have muxh time left. Take this grow as a lesson learnt. Just next hrow have all cleaned up good. Good dish soap or h2o2 water works good as stated for cleaning. Basically once pollen gets wet it is done for if not in a sac to start growth process. If u have anotger spot to take the plant away ffom the otgers would be best but i would not trash the plant perfectly good smome still. Just let it go a bit longer due to the seeds being there and that takes time away from the plant itself. Next grow ull b better off and k owing what to look for and when. U did a great job otherwise beside the hetmall else looks good for a first timer.

I have to respectfully disagree with this Mark.
That plant has at least 6-8 weeks left to finish.
If left in tent then it’s almost guaranteed that all plants will be heavily seeded.
If removed then there’s a pretty good chance that the other 2 won’t seed up if everything is cleaned.
Just my honest opinion my friend.

Thanks so much for your advice. I’ll follow the steps you recommended. Don’t quote me on this but I believe this has occured because there may have been a light leak a some point in the flowering period as I didn’t completely closed the tent during the night cycle. The tent is placed in the bathroom and even though I didn’t turn the lights on there it may have leaked when I opened the door.

Very much appreciated advice and I guess we all learn by our mistakes. Pity it was growing healthy and well up until the second week of flowering. Below are the various stages of the growth.

Thanks for that. I’m a first timer here and really I joined even though I have been a member of ILGM since last year :innocent:

They look super nice tho. What kind of light. What size tent. Id suggest getting a bigger light if u want some hard buds. The light u have now will veg plants beautiful but in the end u will be disappointed :disappointed: buds will be airy and light at the end. I have 10 blurples here i used in a 4x4 tent and still had airy light buds. Honestly hlg is the best ive tried and seen so far for lighting. Lights are the main ingredient for growing quality bud. Everything else comes second

Looks like you’re covered for advice goes. Definitely wipe everything down, and spray the crap out of everything. When you do hose the leaves down, be sure to wait for lights out. Last thing you want is wet leaves in that light, you’ll end up with burned spots.
Most of all, welcome to the community!
When diagnosing plants, its best to have natural white light, instead of the blurple. It presents things to us growers that are easier to see.

I think the others have you set. If you have any specific questions I could answer, just let me know.

Hi Mark and everyone I wrote this last night but was unable to send it as I was told that I exceeded the amount of posts I could send in 24hrs. Maybe it’s because I’m a newbie, but I also just realized that I was getting them by email, but I am quite sure the limitations still apply. I know this forum isn’t a social media platform, but I do want to say that I was overwhelmed by the warm welcome I received from you all, but most of all how quickly the eye opening responses arrived. So thank you.

Mark, I am using a 3x3x6 (90x90x180 cm) tent. I initially installed a 450w Viraspectra LED which includes a grow and bloom switch. However I have just added an additional 600w Viraspectra dimmable LED in the tent only yesterday mainly to be better prepared for the next grow. I don’t know if this translates to having a 1000w of lighting in total or it doesn’t work that way. I am aware though that the true power is a fraction of hat. Still, I am assuming if I am planning to grow 2 or more plants each cycle I would need both of them to generate a better yield and bigger buds as you suggested. The 450w on it’s own wasn’t enough to cover more than 1 plant really. I now have both running at the same time on the remaining 2 plants if they still haven’t been affected, and yes it’s much brighter. After I finish with this lot I’ll do the cleaning you advised and I have 2 more Strawberry Kush seeds left I can use for the next grow. Let me know if on the other hand you think the 600w is sufficient enough on it’s own, thank you. Anyway I have now removed the hermied plant and tomorrow I will cut it up ready it for the curing. I tell you what though I smoked a few dried leaves and it got me to a respectable level for at least half and hour. Imagine the potency of the bud if it was harvested successfully. Well that’s the kick I needed to try better next time. When I googled hermied it did state that hermied plant buds were more potent so not sure what that means and that apparently it’s seeds will all be female. Something to think about. :+1:

A hermied plant will throw hermied pollen so the seeds that u get will most likely and 99% of the time are hermie plants. Unless the buds with beeners came from a breeder they r most likely gonna be hermied plants. No on the buds of hermied plants being more potent not true as the llant stops works so much on bud production and goes to making and maturing seeds. Maybe u read it backwarrds ot there was a typo. The buds will still be good dont get me wrong but no where near like a plant without. On the lights atleast for next grow u r gonna want to get away from the blurple lights. Start saving some now. Anything with meanwell drivers and samsung chips will do
