So I just chopped two of my plants a few days ago and have been having the pots sitting on the side in my grow room and I was going to reuse it when the time came. Now I know I had fungus gnats, have fungus gnats but I went to looking in this soil and scrape the top a little with my fingers and these things are everywhere, they don’t stay in one spot long and they will fly to the side of the pots and then instantly go back into the soil. What should I do with this old soil? Should I maybe try to water it with some peroxide or super insecticidal soap or something or should I just get rid of this soil and get some more for the next run? I know it’s really hard to see in these pictures I know one of the pictures you could see a little booger at the top left of the picture
Roll a piece of tape backwards and see if you can catch one for better pics
@StonedCold13 sounds like a good idea yeah I was having trouble getting a good shot
Its like where’s waldo try to get a single dead bug on like a piece of paper or something that will serves as a white background like a paper plate
Take it outside so they can be free. Such a short life span, but i recon they’ll adapt
The sun will dry the pots and you’re problems will have flown away.
This sounds quite pleasant .
Bag the soil and put it in the freezer for a week at least …best to label it.
@James68 oh wow, freezing the soil for a week will get rid of all of the bugs??
That or baking it, but youll have to recharge because it kills everything..
Sure will …give it a sir if you can after a week and give it bit more if you have time…Death to Bugs !
