Welcome to the Grow Support category

I’m currently cleaning out my closet so it can get darkness. My dad did put a heater close to it but it still had damage when I received it last week.
I also have no idea if it’s auto or not. I just asked but even she might not be sure cause she got it from someone else. How long of a period of darkness do you think it needs ? And what should I do about all the damage on the bottom ?

The strain is bubba Kush and that seems to be what she knows.

You can just remove as they die off. The leaves won’t repair themselves regardless of issue.

Do you know what kind of soil or media the plants are in? I would water in wet dry cycles. Once pots start to dry out, give them a pretty solid soaking. If things are going well you should need to do this couple times a week. Feeding is going to depend on what kind of nutrient concentration you have built up in your pots. Easist way to check is to use an ec/tds/ppm tester and test the concentration after you set ph of your water. Then water until runoff comes out bottom of pot. Collect the runoff in a clean dish and test, measure what comes out against what you put in.

Hi @BlazingBud and welcome to the neighborhood
I’ll try to help you out as much as I can.
Question about the tent: it is nice as everything is contained (lights, plants, some of the smell) but it is not absolutely necessary as long as your grow space is clean and you are able to control your temps, humidity and lights, and you don’t need a super stealth grow space (ie: if you are in a state that is not legal and you live next door to someone who would report you, get a tent and carbon filter).
Question about the plants: they look like they are kinda in trouble from something getting to it. If it was over watered, underwatered, over/underfed or maybe have a big infestation? Can you talk to the previous owner about how the plants were cared for? Might be easier to nail
Down some causes then fill out a support ticket so we can help get your plants in a healthier path

Thanks for all the info. Unfortunately I have absolutely no info on it except the strain , bubba Kush and the fact they told me it was ready to go into the flowering stage. That’s why I’m up here super desperate for help and advice.
I’m currently cleaning out my closet since where it is now in my house won’t have that constant darkness. I just need to know what to do going forward . I can post better pics of the dead leaves If you think it’ll help. I’m really not sure what the issue is but I just wanna know if my plant can survive it and what any of you would prescribe for it (such as lay of light or water for a bit OR give it more water or warmth) sorry I’m so ignorant on all this.

No problem here. Just treat plant as photoperiod and if its an auto will still be fine. You’ll need to have an idea of whats in your pots though. Soil, coco, promix, or whatever is all treated a little differently. Can’t really tell you how to proceed with plant otherwise.

It looks like a soil of sole type. Here are some better pics of soil and dead leaves.
Should I prune them ? And remove them?
I don’t wanna repot cause I know stressing out roots is a thing. As far as I can tell it isn’t a parasite , bug or fungi causing issues.

You can remove the leaves. Unfortunately picture of your soil doesn’t really help me much.

@dbrn32 does have a point about the grow medium. If it is in a soil that is heavily amended it could be getting nute burn. If not enough, it might be needing nutes. If you transplant it you would know exactly what it is growing in from here on out. And I agree about removing the leaves. Get them out and let the plant heal. Also you will be removing them In Flower anyway. The tops do look pretty strong. I get it though, either way you go could hurt the plant. But staying exactly in the pot it’s in could do more. How wet is the soil? What have you done so far? Also, what kind of light do you have? We’re here for ya! Let us know what the set up is like and we will give ya the help we can. You can do this! These plants are more resilient than we give them credit for.

Hello ILGM Community! I’m a brand new cannabis grower and would love to hear feedback. I have never done this before but have experienced outdoor vegetable garden plots, hydroponic microgreens, and composting. I’m starting my cannabis journey with Granddaddy Purple Auto flower indoors in a 5 gallon grow bag with fox farm ocean forest soil and half of the required nutrients from general hydro (starting in week 5 - flowering). I use a 2X3 Mars hydro tent with a 6 inch AC Infinity ventilation system and carbon filter. My light is Mars TS 600. I have been doing LST and Scrogging on it. The light cycle is 20/4. I have no one to share this with and would appreciate suggestions. My big questions is with ocean forest soil, should I add more nutrients Or cut back completely at flowering?

I purchased 5 seeds each from ILGM of, AK 47, Super Skunk, and Sour Diesel. I had only grown one Northern Light, prior to my purchase, from a seed I found. It eventually flowered and I cut it it too soon, dried it incorrectly, but cured it somewhat responsibly, and ended up with a product that was not horrible, after more than 10 weeks.
This time I grew AK 47, Skunk, and the Diesel in not enough soil, too much water after week seven, and no nutes. I kept a calendar and started a new grow after cutting everything down at week 11 with tiny yellow dying leaves and buds that had quite cloudy trichomes. I believe the bud will certainly be better than my first grow. It looks and smells amazing.
My question is this : on my third grow of AK, Skunk, and S Diesel, I was going to hold off on Fox Farm nutes, and rely on the Fox soil for my seedlings until week three. Based on FF’s feeding chart, would it be safe to attempt 1/2 of their suggested amounts per gallon, or less?
I learned so much having researched what to do, and what not to do before growing, and when I executed the poor growing techniques and no LST, I saw first hand how resilient marijuana plants are.
I want to feed them well, but conservatively. They are in 3 gallon fabric pots in a 70+ degree, 45 - 55% humid 2 x 2 x 4 grow tent. 18 / 6. Bloom Plus 1000 light (which seems like not enough). All advice welcome, most interested in 2 x 2 x 4 tent advice. Thanks, F

Download the schedule from their website and use that as guide. Sometimes growers feel their schedule is a little strong and will mix at half or 3/4 strength. But a lot of that depends on watering and feeding habits, environmental conditions, and probably several other variables too.

Depending on the soil used from fox farms, it could feed a plant by itself for several weeks. Other factors will play into this as well. Half strength on nutrient can work. May just have to change up how often you are feeding.

Thanks I’ll try half strength with the nutes. I am planning to use Fox’s guide starting at around 3 weeks. I’m not sold on my Bloom Plus 1000 light though. I feel like a step up would change how fast my pots dried out, and create more of a predictable watering schedule throughout the grow.
On my first grow with ILGM seeds, I had the opportunity to put soaked seeds with only a tiny root tail, in soil with the BP 1000 at close range, and they looked amazing in an incredibly short time. With proper LST on autos, should I go with a 22 X 13 grow light to attempt to light up the whole 2 x 2 space?

Hey guys! This is my first grow, It’s been 12 days since I planted the sprouted seeds. I’ve noticed today that one of my plants has started pointing its leaves upwards. After some research I’ve seen a lot of people say too much light, is that true? I’ve taken them all out of light just in case I am right. Ive also noticed that by the 12 day mark lots of other peoples plants have grown more and are much bigger, should i be worried or are mine looking healthy? I am growing them in my living room with just a ceiling light until I find a place for them outside/get better indoor lights. Thanks guys!!

I was curious about which genetics your seeds predominantly come from?

Help

Welcome to the community. It looks like you did post.
What are you wanting to do? You can start your own posts. @dbrn32 can you give @Mr62 some advice?

Skywalker OG feminized. Plant all of a sudden won’t get any taller and the leaves are starting to become discolored and burnt looking. Any ideas on what it could be?
