Welcome to the Grow Support category

Either fixture will work in the 2 x 2, both fixtures will be needed in the 3 x 3. I shoot for a minimum of 40 watts per sqft of grow space. 1 fixture in the 3 x 3 would limit you to 1 plant IMO. When I set my lights up I’ll check the corners and across the foot print with a meter or the phone app PHOTONE and adjust the intensity to the plant growth stage :love_you_gesture:

Thanks Photone app is what I use also. I have another board with a 120 watts driver with a 288 looking board I can throw in there with it thanks. Then I will be fighting the heat

I can’t seem to find the paperwork for the HLG patriot or specs on it , does anyone know if it is the same as the hlg 150 Rspec ?
The only thing I’m coming up with is that the 150 Rspec is only intended for flowering.
@dbrn32 I’m Not sure if you remember the 288ish looking lamp I was asking about a month or so ago that you helped me with. Im just trying to decide what lamp to add in the 3x3 and what one to leave in the 2x2 ??

Confusing it looks like the 150 Rspec and the 150 patriot are the same. But conflicting info one says not recommended for flower and the other says 3x3 veg and 2x2 flower?? Are they the same ?

And here it’s say not recommended for flower

What did HLG do just change the name ?

I thought we were talking about patriot and hlg-200, where did rspec fr come from?

Well I was looking for the specs for the patriot and I found it on trim leaf When you click on it it takes you to the specs for the Rspec and they say it’s ok for both veg and flower. But then on HLG website it says the Rspec is not recommended for veg. So I’m trying to find out if the patriot is the same as the Rspec. I know it’s confusing.

Seems the Rspec is more of a specialty lamp and I was wondering if the patriot is the same lamp

And if it is the same I won’t be satisfied using the patriot for full cycle if it’s not meant to be

Yea I know confusing right thanks

The RSPEC FR has far red specifically for flowering, the patriot does not. Go with the full spectrum Patriot or the 200 RSPEC. I run two 300 RSPEC in one of my tents from start to finish :love_you_gesture:

You can LST any time you want, for as long as you want/need. Being low stress, it barely affects the plant and usually doesn’t slow down anything.
You could also supercrop her like crazy, but autos tend not to like it too much just before flowering, in my personal experience.

Great advice from @kaptain3d and would recommend a selective defoliation for better air flow and light penetration :love_you_gesture:

Copy that. You have to kinda lookout as it seems they have the info for patriot listed under the link for rpec fr. I think the patriot has been discontinued so maybe that retailer just made a mistake trying to replace the patriot for rspec fr on same link.

At any rate, the patriot, rspec, and rspec fr all have different spectral distribution. The rspec fr will cause longer internodal spacing so it’s not the most ideal light spectrum to veg under, but it’s not like your plants won’t grow under it either. The differences between the two would be something like vegging under metal halide vs vegging under hps. It’s not usually recommended to veg under hps but plenty of people are successful doing it.

Thanks for response have removed some yellowing bottom leaves but im not sure how much i can remove dont want to hermie the plant or hurt the finish any insight would be appreciated want to learn as much as possible

Remove growth node 2 and everything below. Take some soft tie wire and pull the longer side and top branches over. This should open her up more for air circulation and light penetration :love_you_gesture:

Thanks dbrn32. , I’m sort of a perfectionist that why all the questions most times it doesn’t work out. I appreciate everyone’s input always.
