Was this topped correctly? / Are these pistils?

Hey guys. Little update on the plant I posted before.

I did the topping where you reccomended yesterday. Looks like she took it well because when I flipped my light on this morning, she was perked right up.

I’m pretty sure I topped it correctly. I just pinched it off since it was small growth.

Also, I have a question, I was given these seeds for free and I’m not quite sure what they are.
The fan leaves look like they’re displaying Indica dominant traits.
But I’m not entirely sure if it’s a female or a male.

A few people told me in the past that you won’t see the sex of the plant until you flip your lights to a 12/12.
While others say that the sex of the plant will show once the plant reaches maturity, which can happen before you flip your light schedule.

This is only just over a month and a week into the grow from seed, and I am not sure if the plant is starting to display signs of maturity.

From what these look like, are the beginning stages of Pistils.
And from what I hear, they will start towards the top of the plant.
Which this is exactly what it’s displaying.

Can someone give another pair of eyes and let me know if these are pistils? Thank you.!

So the topping looks awsome man :+1:

I cant tell exactly from the pictures but this looks like male parts to me.

These are the “sex parts”.
Plants show sex when they hit maturity and they do this by displaying a single tiny little “pre-flower”.
It will either look like a tiny little tear drop with 2 white hairs sticking out for female.

That is a female pre-flower in picture.

A male flower is attached with a little stalk and will not have white hairs sticking out.

Keep a close eye on the bits i circled, they should hopefully display white hairs “pistols” very soon.
If not and they start looking more like little balls on the end of a stalk, then it’s male…

What :point_up::point_up: said. Those look like male flowers forming. If they extend off of the stem, from a needle thin stalk, then they’re male. The female calyx is attached directly to the stem.

But on a positive note looks like you topped it correctly. Like they said above, keep a close eye on it the next couple of days.

Hey guys, update on the plant,
They are starting to look more like pollen sacks, but I hear that if they are pointed, they could be females, and these are a little pointed, but also look like pollen sacks lol.
I’m not entirely sure, what do you all think?

Should I chop and compost or see where it goes?

Not sure y my eyes are going goofy on your pics when I blow them up but looks male. Wait for an expert. Meanwhile get a side shot of concerned area. Tough looking from top down.

A female will have 2 per node. A male will form like grapes multiple. Every time.

Here’s some better pictures
