Vodka lemon, blue dream, cobalt haze 2nd indoor grow NLS living soil

hi all, dropped 7 more seeds 11/6/20 3 cobalt haze, 2 blue dream and 2 vodka lemon. 2 days in a damp paper towel and 8 days under a small grow light. i am still getting a bit more stretching than i want, but still better than my first attempts. tonight they got moved from the small dome light to under my veg lights, they are currently about 30 inches below my lights, ( qb 132’s ) i am not sure if i am too far away?
they will stay in their little cups for a couple weeks (or sooner if i screw up and stretch them too much) then will get transplanted into 7 gal fabric pots with NLS soil mixed as a living soil with some used soil which is a random mix of stonington ocean blend, happy frog and ocean forest (i had a hell of a time this year finding a consistent source of a single type of soil), though i think i like the stonington best, and i am in maine, so it is local, and hopefully can find it consistently. i had great luck with it last grow outdoors, and so far looking good in flowering, though this time i am adding budswel to my water/ compost tea feeding routine while in flowering. i am just not sure whether to add the budswel to the compost tea, or use it on it’s own, or both. my first indoor grow is still several weeks away from finishing, so still a noob at it really, but is fun learning !! seedlings are in straight happy frog.

they are back under the dome for higher humidity, it was just removed for pictures.

Strongly suggest against peat pots in the future they dry your soil out super fast and your plants grow into them but not through them super pain.

Drop your light to like 22" start there and adjust depending on stretch or no stretch. You may have to move even closer.
Plants look healthy just a little stretched.

Got a light breeze in there yeah?

yes a light breeze, not in the domed seedling tray but in the tent, i was thinking why am i going through this nightmare again with the peat pots, but for what ever reason i did it again, i may have to blame my summer harvest on my lack of judgement. i have not had a problem with them drying things up as much as i have had an issue with them molding, luckily i finally went through the last of them, first grow i went from smaller peat cups to those size peat cups, roots grow through them my ass. it was a mess, roots were all fubar. would you suggest 22" for the clones i have growing behind them also? just deciding if i should raise the seedlings, or drop the light, lol i just started using the woodstove again on a full time basis, so humidity in my tent was down to 32% once i get that back up i will remove the dome so i can get a breeze over the seedlings

Clones can take more light, actually alot of light. But ensure the leafs are clipped appropriately.

Just do plastic seedling pots lots of drainage on the bottom. Or amazon nursery bags (I’m abiut to try these for the first time soon)

clones are well developed now, and pretty much ready to flower, but may keep at least 1 for a momma plant, i am almost starting to consider myself better at creating them, i killed a lot of em. i’ll drop the lights a bit, thanks for the tip ! for my clones i did do the plastic solo with holes and put that into a red solo, but i cant for the life of me figure out why i decided to do seedlings in peat pots yet again… will likely transplant them earlier than i anticipated. i have all my soil to do so, it will be hot though so will wait it out as long as i can. i think if i also do not repeat the putting compost tea on seedlings mistake i will be ok. had to actually wash the roots under running water to remedy that, i cant believe they survived that !!

Sunday picture time, everything seems to be looking good, took the dome off them today to get a little breeze, started running the woodstove so my humidity has been dropping, moved the fan to the inside of the vent and ran a dehumidifier, this morning i woke up it was 91% humidity, oops. i think i have a problem with WPM in one of the clones in the back, i attached a picture, need to do some research on it. i dont want it to spread, i plucked the effected leaves, humidity hovering around 70% with the humidifier off so far.

i hope everyone is enjoying their sunday

missed sunday picture day, got everything put in their 7 gallon pots, picture from last night, looked this morning they still look happy.

the new soil was pre used mix of stonington ocean blend and FF ocean forest mixed as a living soil, recharged with some new stonington ocean blend, earth worm castings and new natures living soil mixed as a living soil, hope i didnt mix it too hot, we will see. last week i wiped the wpm off the clone that was showing signs, then sprayed it with some azamax so far no new signs of it returning.

ohhh and on a good note i finally used up all the fiber pots, after looking at some grow journals i believe they did dry out too much, especially with the fan blowing on them when i removed the dome, i figure using them lost me about a weeks worth of growth compared to what i have seen from people who don’t use them. lesson learned again, lets see if i do it again next time… and no i am not taking bets that i will not, lol

Sunday picture time, the girls are really starting to enjoy their new homes, i have not had to water them yet and they dont seem to be complaining. nothing else new to report. hope everyone is enjoying their sunday !!

also looks like my mungo clone (back right) is starting to develop some WPM again, i am thinking that strain, what ever it might be, may just be susceptible to it. may just scrap it, not sure. grew it outside had wpm issues also : ( still trying to keep my tent at the right RH been bouncing around a good bit since i added 7 new pots.

today is 1 month since these were taken out of paper towels and put into soil. looks like they are taking well to the new soil after their transplant. , they still aren’t asking for water so letting it do it’s thing, but the pots are starting to lighten up, so i am thinking tomorrow.

getting time to decide on training options on a few of these, may mainline a couple, the vodka lemon in the center is shaping up to be a great candidate for it, looks like i have a few days to decide.

you may notice a couple plants missing. found more WPM

luckily i think i found the end all to the problem, is a shame too, they were looking like they would be great producers.

my neighbors must love me, lol

if there was a dislike button i am sure these pictures would justify it.

i will have to spray down the small plants tonight with azamax, tomorrow is clean the tent day. trying to find something to add and help on preventative maintenance, but not much to find locally at the grow shops yet. also lowered the RH in the flower room because i found a few spots in there, will have to use my seeing glasses a bit more it seems. i thought my new dehumidifier had the option to set a target RH, will hope it at least works with an RH controller, also on my tomorrow to do list.

hope everyone is having a good week.

hi guys, not much new here, trying my hand at some fimming and started to manifold 1 blue dream and 1 vodka lemon.

last week

and a santa picture

still battling WPM in my flower room, think i may be coming ahead, the spread is slowing, but had to kill off 1 more plant, trying some lost coast will see if i can kill it off. otherwise will be feeding the woodstove again, sprayed the veg tent and the plants in it a couple times with azamax, so far no new signs of it since i burned the infected older plants, so fingers crossed, will be swapping between azamax and lost coast through veg from now on. always learning more and more what i need to pay attention to.

cheers everyone !!

Hope everyone had a good christmas, not much new to report, no signs of wpm, am adding alternating azamax/ lost coast to my weekly schedule, they look to be coming to maturity and a few will go into the new flowering room, still battling wpm in there also, 2 more plants hit the chopping block, 1 into a wreath, the other outside waiting for the woodstove.

cobalt haze

Vodka lemon

tried to fim both of those, they are starting to finish recovering, i believe after that they will be ready to put in the flower room.

and the 2 manifolds i have started. they need attention soon.

and the vodka lemon top i chopped to make one of the manifolds is starting to show some good root growth, will be ready to transplant anytime i believe. i think i see signs of the blue dream starting to do the same, it is about a week behind this one.

am at just over week 7 from seed, not doing too bad this round. i do believe i lost some grow time using the peat cups, will be starting some more seeds soon, will be using solo cups for sure.

weekly update time. Tuesday the 29th i decided to give the girls a hair cut

1 day later

saturday night 1/2 put a vodka lemon and a blue dream into the flower room

and a couple pictures a week after the hair cut.

bought a couple new fans for the tent, and a couple for the flower room, think i may redesign my flower room so i can get oscillating fans on both sides of the canopy, also working on building some tent pole mounts so i can retrofit some of these blizzard oscillating fans to the tent itself, but for now these help

still battling WPM issues, going to go on an aggressive lost coast application program, see if that helps. also purchased a humidity controller for the flower room, i already have a decent dehumidifier that is designed to work with the titan controller i have. they had a $600 humidifier at the grow store, but thinking will try to be abit more thrifty if i can.

@Joe44 hope i did the tag right, hope you dont mind me tagging you in, but thought you may want to check out another NLS grow, been watching your threads hoping to pick up more info as well.

hope everyone is doing well, cheers and happy new year !!

wow, been a month since i updated,

have done quite a bit in the past month, bought a better humidifier for the flower room, is more of a fogger i guess, if i keep filling it every few hours it will keep things at 50% humidity, also been dosing things down with lost coast and added something called gardnclean. is a packet you hang from the ceiling, is humidity activated and helps keep the air clean, guy at grow store says it helps with WPM, not sure that it does, or if the extended use of the lostcoast and keeping my environment at peak levels finally did it, but is for the most part gone. still some in the grow tent i think, but am winning the battle there.

I also bought a cloner so i can start cloning now easier. installed 2 more fans in the flower room, built 2 more flowering lights and added a humdity controller. i did try cloning some plants, but think my humidity was too low and most don’t look very good. all plants but 1 cobalt haze and the vodka lemon clone are in the flower room. and got my first successful indoor harvest from the mungo clone that has seen a hard life, came up to be just under an ounce all dried, not great, but is a start to improve from. this years project (among many) will be building a curing/drying area. pretty sure i am leaving some stuff out, but that is the gist of it. bunch of pictures to follow.

might need to start thinking of some defoliation.

cobalt haze flowering

i am adding budswel to every other watering, and started adding silica to every watering for 2 weeks, backing that off to every other watering now. other than that still not had to worry about any deficiencies, just battling myself with environmental control.

here is the good bud shot of the mungo plant i just harvested, it had a hard life, pulled a bit too early due to wpm concerns,

gave it about another week from the last pic and gave her 48 hours of dark and temps about 50 deg.

i think i dried it a bit too quick, woodstove is hard to keep up with on humidity, dried a bit airy, bringing some to uncle and we will try it in a few days, still curing and smells good, cant wait to try the new stuff… ahh the patience game, lol

can’t wait till i graduate from environment to packing bud into flowering space effectively.

hope everyone is doing well.

hello all, pictures and update time. not too much new here, still battling WPM, but doing a spray of lost coast and dialing in my environment has been helping. flower room i added a 5 gallon reservoir to my humidifier and it helped drastically keeping humidity at about 50% day and night now. now that winter is about over will be doing the dance between humidifier and dehumidifier. still trying to add budswell to every other feeding, though will be stopping on the ones getting close, should have 2-3 weeks left on a few of them. stopped adding silica as well. other than that not much to report, just some pictures.

hope everyone is doing well.
