Verndoc - White Widow. Sour Diesel, OG

I forced mine off as well. She made it just fine. I was afraid I was going to decapitate the thing :sunglasses:

That inkbird controller just turns on and off humidifier. If you’re running exhaust it’s just going to suck everything you put in the tent out. At best your humidifier would short cycle, and that’s saying it didn’t run all the time anyway. The only way around that is to cycle fan on and off too, and that sounds like potential disaster with humidifier in tent.

Lol, I almost did, I damaged the tips of the petal 9n one of 6he plants., but you can’t tell now.

I have to run a space heater in my garage during the winter so I feel your pain. If you want optimal temps and environment, eventually you’ll have to bite the bullet and acquire equipment when and where you can

4x4x8 tent in a room with 55 degree temp and 30 RH - I’m going to fool with it for a while. Pretty sure and exhaust fan would be counterproductive as far as RH. Temp is low so I may try a space heater and the rags in a bucket trick to start. I plan to get the following but don’t want to waste too much $$.

  • space heater
  • humidifier
  • exhaust fan
  • what to control it? I see some that use Inkbird.
Your thoughts? I have so much money I can’t seem to spend it fast enough…

Lots of people use ink bird controllers. I’d just be sure to read the customer reviews before purchasing :v::bear:

Got my QB132 four board light set up and running. I’m looking on Amazon for some new retinas :sunglasses::sunglasses: I made the mistake of plugging it in while facing up on my bench… Wholly Crap!!! are these things bright. Question @dbrn32

  • I don’t have a potentiometer for it yet, can you recommend the correct one.
  • am I safe to use this without it until I get one installed?
  • recommended height above plants?

Thanks so much
Peace

You have driver ending in b? You can use without pot, just protect dimming leads from shorting. You want a 100k pot that reads at least 100k. More is fine, but not less. You’ll probably want to flower around 12-16" at full power. Start them higher and gradually increase intensity.

Yes I have a B driver. I spent a bunch of time trying the find “the right” one and wondered if you could send me a recommendation. More I looked the more confused I got and don’t want to get the wrong one. Here’s the QB132 setup.
Thanks so much for the guidance!!

Light looks good. Unfortunately its difficult to say exactly which would be good or not, they all have a tolerance that could put one way or the other.

Rapid led sells one with a case and knob, that one will likely have some deadband but should guarantee you’re not short any. You can probably send them email or call and they’ll get you setup.

Greetings,

Here’s an update: Day 16 since dropping in water.

  • I have added a heater to my tent. Temps are fluctuating from 86 to 69 during the day… Soil temp hanging in at 70F. RH has been at 60-70% BUT I have moisture all over the inside of the tent on the walls so am concerned about mold… Issue is that the outside area of the tent is about 55F. Heating inside to 80’s creates moisture which is good and bad… Essentially my tent is in the cellar of my basement. I DO NOT have active ventilation as of yet. I have opened bottom and top vents to encourage passive ventilation to reduce moisture on the walls of the tent/mold potential.

  • I just transplanted them into 3gal pots with local super soil (smokin tomatoes veg.). I had an issue with one WW and 1 Sour Diesel. Their dirt/rootballs crumbled while transplanting. Thought I killed SD#2 (bottom) but 2 days later all seems ok.

  • I will be adding a 6" exhaust fan w filter soon and a temp controller (ordered). One OG (#2) has leaves that are curling under a bit. As far as I can tell the others are doing ok. Advice or comments appreciated from all.

    WW 1 & 2 , OG 1 & 2, Sour Diesel 1 & 2. 2’s on the bottom.

Peace

That fan will help, although will be more difficult to maintain temp inside too.

Oh, I do have a small fan inside the tent for circulation but YEAH the exhaust fan I have been hesitant about due to my temp and RH issues. Any concerns with vegging for a while when they are small without the exhaust fan?

Other than mold, just that your not replacing co2 for photosynthesis

Any idea when that (CO2) becomes significant. When they are this small I wonder if that’s a big concern. I’m trying to balance their needs versus my challenge of keeping the temp up. It’ll be easier once our weather gets above -000F… The F stands for F@#$%in cold in case you wondered… My furnace can’t keep up… Thank God it’s repaired and running.

I’m not sure, safe to say bigger/older they get more important it will be.

My wife said furnace has been running all day and not exactly keeping up either.

I just had this thought. We here monitor everything; pH, TDS, RH, Temp., air exchange, light quality , I’ve not read of anyone monitoring CO2. Probably the oxygen of the plant world… Why not? Couldn’t find a cheap Amazon monitor.

You can put your 6 inch fan on a timer which will help maintain temps. I have a remote thermostat for mine which works excellent.

I just saw someone mentioning CO2 monitering… was it @BigDaddyCain or @Grandaddy013 n @Sixpackdad i believe uses bags… man i know i JUST saw this convo somewhere

Also plants looking good! Nice work so far
