my sour diesel seeds germinated, but then nothing happened? is there something I did wrong? I germinated the seeds, soaked stone wool in PH adjusted water, put in a humidity seed starter with a light to keep the temp between 72 and 78 degrees. every couple days I check and give a spritz of ph adjusted water with a minimum amount of nutrients. it seems like they germinated and died? is there a secret to getting the SD seeds to pop? im an unhappy grower, ive built a grow room and spent a lot of money to get started and don’t have anything to show for it. Please help…
I have 6 white widow autos in rockwool that just came up 5 days ago. I am top watering the rockwool with a turkey baster twice daily to keep them happy.
im trying some white widow next time, seeds are ordered. what is the temp. of your growing space? are you doing hydroponics? im trying for the first time and can use info from someone who is experienced at hydroponics, im just growing enough for personal use and want to start 1 or 2 plants. I learned white widow is easier to grow than sour diesel, so I hope I have better luck this time.
Mostly hydro, put 1 soil last week for first time. I want nutes at 4th set of leaves, begin at 1/4 strength. I use ppm at 300/600/900/1200 for seedling/veg/grow/bloom. Cuz it was easy to remember. I have to really baby them at first, and all my sprouts get a pipe cleaner to support the stem at first. Good luck, this forum will provide as much info as you choose to learn.
I had the exact same thing happen to me with 3 AK47 autoflower, and 3 Gold Leaf seeds (out of 5). All seeds (8 total) came in one order, but only 2 Gold Leaf decided to join the party. You wonderful people at ILGM have already sent me replacement AK47 seeds, and I have contacted you via email through “customer support” about the Gold Leaf.
All seeds germinated. All seeds, and every seed I’ve planted in 15 years of growing, were handled with utmost care and given ideal conditions. I have never experienced this high of a dead-loss rate. I wonder if there is some mishandling happening in transit; and, I have read a few reports concerning X-Ray exposure causing seed issues. Just a thought…
I have 2 white widows started in hydroponic system I made, seedlings are 10 days old. The water is PH 5.8 or close to that, I check PH every day. Should I add anything to the water? Or just wait for 3 weeks and start nutrients. I used bottled water with nothing added, just PH adjusted.
I would wait till they have a well established root system. Usually a good way to know when you can give them nutrients is when the small round leaves, the first ones, yellow and fall.off is a good time to start. Those leave have all the nutrients they plant needs till they go away then I would start them off on 1/4 strength to judge how well they are gonna take it.
Well that’s how I do it, I know some.likento add nutrients before those leaves fall off or yellow it really is grower preference. I do believe that if you are going to do it before you should start them off on a low strength to see how they are gonna take them l, but I’m sure you already knew that hog haha
I had mentioned since the babies are in water there are no nutrients, adding the micro and bloom parts of a 3 part nutrient system will encourage root growth, not vegetative, using it at a ppm of about 200 or so…when they have reached the third set of leaves.
