@CloudSurfer I can’t believe you have me considering spending $600 for a smoking device. The Volcano Hybrid Vaporizer uses bags or whips? The tube seems to be a tube you draw on like a pipe. But the bag? Does smoke fill the bag and then you remove the bag and sit in your chair and then draw from the bag?

Arizer XQ2 Vaporizer the poor man’s Volcano. Currently on sale at Planet of the Vapes for $160 about 1/4 the price of the Volcano Hybrid. This is a later version of Arizer Extreme Q Vaporizer. Plug into a wall outlet. Bags or whips. Convection heating.
I only smoke about once every four days. I think my better half would be upset if I spent six hundred bucks on a vaporizer. I will probably go for the Arizer XQ2. I will then have a portable and a desktop. I can always upgrade to the Volcano after experiencing the entry level vaporizers if necessary. I have to keep peace in the family.
Too late for me because I just placed my order for the Arizer XQ2.
The Arizer V-Tower Vaporizer is another option for a plug-in desktop currently $80 at Planet of the Vapes. I haven’t read the reviews yet. The primary difference seems to be this one doesn’t have a fan so it won’t fill balloons. I don’t even know if I like smoking from a balloon. 80 bucks seems like a VERY reasonable price.
If you are checking prices also look at Tvape.com. Both the Arizer XQ2 Vaporizer and the Arizer V-Tower Vaporizer are a few bucks less at Tvape.
Wished we could test drive a model or two.
Curious, is all auto plants vapeable, or do you need to grow certain plants?
All dry flower is vapeable. I grow both photos and autos, no difference at all in how it is in my Pax.

I have the Pax 3 which you can also use concentrates in. I made some live resin from my last grow, and when I have some time where I dont have to think, breathe, or think about breathing, I am gonna give it a run.
My first impression is thumbs up. It was a little intimidating for the first hour reading the instructions in the tiny print manual.
Then I tried it and basically all I had to do was charge it and then turn it on. My only gripe so far is it did not come with a charger. I read the specs and my better half’s cell phone charger was a match (5V 1 amp USB). It took an hour or two.
The defaults were right on. 356 degrees F and a three minute session. It heated up very quickly. I bumped it up to 360 degrees F just to see if I could. The vapor was slightly harsh but nothing like smoking from a pipe. I took four hits just like I do with a pipe and the high was about the same.
I didn’t go into the bathroom and turn the exhaust fan on. When my better half returned to the room she did not even know I had smoked.
The Roffu seems to be very well made. It reeks quality. Simple to use. I changed it to a 6 minute session but then changed it back to 3 minutes. It is so easy to turn it on again. I may end up using three of the shorter 3 minute sessions.
This has opened up a new world of possibilities.
Now the @RandomW201 post has more meaning. I dumped my first load because I have no idea whether or not there is anything remaining. Very likely I could use it two more times. I am not too concerned about wasting weed. Also I will have to experiment with different temperatures. It is so easy to change the temps. Maybe low for the first two hits and then bump it up for two more? Maybe only fill the bowl/chamber half way?

And I agree with @TransplantedFarmgirl now I can notice subtle flavors. I will have to be concerned with the various strains because I can notice differences. Temps will come into play here because different terpenes vaporize at different temperatures. The downside I will have to purchase more seeds just to try different varieties when I already have more than I need.
Overall a very positive experience. I am still waiting for my desktop but this portable is much better than I expected. I may have to retire my newly purchased bubbler.

I’ve experimented with quite a few vape devices. The first was a Magic flight Launch box which was just ok, the battery doesn’t really have enough juice to get a good hit. I then got a Pulsar Flow which worked pretty well until the battery died. I have a couple of dynavap vapes but I find them a bit if a PIA to use especially if you’re trying to be stealthy, but when you do get the right hit they are pretty amazing just not practical for casual use. I had a Arizer V-Tower which worked excellent so when Arizer ran a special for the holidays I got the new XQ2 which I like a lot the fan assist gives the kind of hits you get from a traditional pipe. I have to say though I do occasionally really enjoy rolling a joint and I find that the high from the joint is different from vaping JMO.
I agree with ya, it is a different high smoking vs vaping from my perspective as well.
Anyone tried the Loov vaporizer made by Randy’s? It looks very cool the way it fills a glass beaker with vapor. I wonder if it works well when vaping flower?
Oh,Yeaaah, I agree 100%…put my vaped herb in coffee or tea the next day and I am flying all day. That is the thing I look forward to most…Coffee the next day

That is what they claim flower or concentrates. My problem with most portable vaporizers is the hot vape. The glass beaker seems like it would cool the vape very well.
