Use of RECHARGE

Those of you using it, do you stop using it at any point before harvest???

Recharge is a microbe product that can be used right up until harvest. It helps the plant absorb nutrients more effectively. I use a similar product and use it until i go water only a week or so before harvest.

Ya im in week 7/8 of flower breeder suggusts 9/11 week flower time so just getting ready. Thanks.

I stop recharge in week five. If you look hard enough, even the real growers website will say to stop at full flower for cannabis regardless of back of bag. Its more of a nitrogen focused microbe.

I was unsure as the first time use of it.

@Poseidon1 @MidwestGuy

Is it ok to mix Recharge in my Jacks 3,2,1 with an Autopot system?

I’m not familiar with autopots and don’t know if that matters or not. I use a similar product (Urb) with Jacks.

Not a autopot guy as well. I do know the autopot guys like to add the recharge mix directly to the tray and not the res. It will clog the lines. Fishsh!t and tps billions should be ok for it tho.

Exactly what @Poseidon1 states. I use recharge put directly in the trays. Then a day later after the plant takes it I clean them out because recharge is some sticky stuff, then mix my nutes in the tank and add fish sh after ph. Never had a problem with the fish in the res but tried recharge once and it was a pita to clean all the lines and such.

Depends on reservoir temperature and drift. Use of pH down can kill off some of the microbes. Too high of temps can cause growth while using microbes. I’ve seen Afg using continuum in res without issues.

Best bet is directly in the tray for auto pots.

As for recharge

Nitrogen (from the kelp)
Carbs
Acid
Microbes

It can safely be used from seed to harvest. But I wouldn’t see any benefit running it past week 5-6 of flower or when the plant enters into the last couple weeks.

Ive been adding it with my Ph watering every other watering since early veg.

I don’t actually use it but i have in the past.
It’s super expensive compared to other sources.

From my understanding of microbes and there roles, while it certainly want hurt to give them upto harvest. Considering if they been doing there job and providing benefits to the plant, then there must be a healthy population present by the time its deep into flower.
Plus the fact they are cheap and more then likely it’s a container of soil that once harvested it will be threw out or remended before it’s reused anyway.

So in my opinion, I see no reason to use them other then 3-4 times through out the entire grow and definitely no reason to twards the end say last 3 weeks or so.
But just my opinion and works for me.

My main source of microbes in soil comes from this product. I mix a good bit in the soil a week before I plant a seedling in, then i top dress a couple of times threw out by flower time I start feeding synthetics and stop worrying about microbes.

In my coco-coir plants I use no microbes at all but rather h2o2.
This works well for me but others will have different approaches that will also work.

Some of my soil and coco-coir plants for reference.

With jacks sure.
But not a good idea to add it to the reservoir.
Better off scooping so nutrient solution out of the reservoir and mix a considerated does and add it straight to the trays of each plant.
It will be more effective this way and keep you reservoir from smelling and lines clean and flowing good.

A good rule of thumb with autopots is nothing “organic” goes into the reservoir, if you want to use living in puts, it best just add in to the tray and save the risk of a nasty reservoir

@1HappyPappy
Thanks. What you said makes sense. I’ll give it a try

There is plenty of people who run microbes in there res for majority of there grow. Again i prefer to make a seperate mix for mine myself, as to keep it synthetic as possible but other guys have no problem. I know guys that run there tribus start to finish and mix 50 gallon res at a time with no problem. Certainly would not attempt with recharge. Not even a fan of bud candy in the res but that is far as i go with it. Rated for hydro but def leaves a film on the edge at water level.

I didn’t say it can’t be done.

The potential cons outweigh the pros of using that method for delivery.

everyone has there methods brother. I dont do it myself i said. But certainly can be done. Green gene has no problems been running jacks and tribus for years. I prefer only couple days of res myself.

I never said it couldnt. :call_me_hand:t3: im aware of the Tribus products being used. Thats why I mentioned Tribus Continuum and a members success using it.

Sorry brother i hope i did not sound arrogant. For the record…i do agree with you. Once a week is plenty imo. Therefore keep it clean…but respect those who go fill till.

I use continuum now. It reeks but it works great
