Use of cotton balls in our grows?

Never heard this one before… BS or ?

Keeping the soil constantly wet isn’t a good idea. Cannbis soil needs wet/dry cycles for good root health. Roots need oxygen, and they can’t extract oxygen from soil that is chronically wet.

Yeah not for soil but maybe for coco, mayb which has a tendency to like being kinda wet all the time

For soil I would agree with @MidwestGuy , and in coco it would maybe help with water but I don’t think it would make a difference for compaction…
Coco growers might have a better take on this… @AfgVet , @OGIncognito , @Bulldognuts

If cotton balls are mixed with the growing medium they will get squashed and be useless. I could see them holding a bit more water for a few hours but they are more likely to turn black and anaerobic rather than being helpful. I wouldn’t bother trying it.

Not something I would bother with in either soil or coco
