This is my first plant I have topped 3 times I just put her and another to flowering

these little leaves catch my attention is this something like overwatering .

The way they are clawing kinda looks like Nitrogen toxicity but let’s ask @HornHead @Myfriendis410

Yes; overwatering. You should ideally let the soil dry out to the point of almost wilting the plant before more water.

Thank u @Carol4486 and @Myfriendis410 for the details will def let it sit this time it just felt pretty dry I was digging to easy into the soil so I got a little nervous darn it.

@Carol4486 u have had some amazing grows :pray: is their something I can buy if the deficiency is nitrogen ? I have cal mag and it helped my plant a lot

It would be just adjusting feeding if that is the problem. Overwatering and N toxicity look a lot alike

Are you using any nutrients? What water are you using and what do you PH it to? What are you using to measure/adjust PH?

Do I assume you are running MH/HPS or LEC? LED?

FFOF is hot soil so no nutes needed and sometimes it’s too much for some plants. I only see issues with too frequent a watering cycle with fairly good color to the plants. If you aren’t, you really should have a decent digital PH meter that you can calibrate.

@Myfriendis410 Okay that’s definitely something I’m going to look into and yea I have a hps light system . What soil would u recommend :frowning: that was what my hydronic store recommended but they have way more selections. I have used cal mag and other fox farm nutrients when they needed it in the beginning but now I have just let take their course till they look like they need something. I was just using filtered water out of a water dispenser, in the 5 gallon tanks that u refill. I have a soil , moisture , ph tester but I don’t think it really works all that well I don’t really understand it.

You’re doing just right. The grow store steered you fine with the FFOF: it’s just one that needs a few precautions to use. But that includes using instruments to monitor PH and TDS and adjust when needed. All an important part of growing cannabis.

Short tutorial: digital PH and TDS meters measure electrical conductivity. In fact one of the scales used for TDS is called ‘EC’. This conductivity reading is then expressed as a number value. With PH (potential hydrogen) tells you how acidic your liquid is. Every .1 is X10 on the scale. So 6.1 is 10 times as acidic as 6.2. TDS tells you (sort of) how many solids are dissolved in your liquid. This can greatly help when feeding or supplementing.

PH is something you should get good at doing sooner rather than later as proper range means good nutrient uptake and correct growth with no lockouts.

@Myfriendis410 I really appreciate your input into these plants. I will go to my hydroponic store and get a digital ph tester and do a lil more research into all that. Thank you !!!
