Updated pics of my 2 outdoor babies in New England

So what your saying is leave the ladybugs alone… thanks I did not know that. I will be good to them. Here’s a pic of my outdoor grow in Michigan. Maui, Blueberry(wife said it is pretty grow that one), strawberry cough and Blackberry Kush

They bring good luck and means you’ll have a good harvest.

They also love gnats, spider mites and Leafhoppers… Wish I had them here…:disappointed::disappointed::disappointed:

I buy ladybugs online. 2nd day shipping.
They’re great in an enclosed area, but for outdoor grows… they just fly off.

I am relying on good ol’ Mother Nature right now. I have seen several ladybugs throughout the day. I spend a lot of time in the bush. Relaxing. A great hobby with great benefits

Hopefully you’re in a legal state your neighbors are going to hate you after the fall😂. Those are big beauties.

Thanks they are pretty, and pretty cool to grow. Yep a legal state. Just added another two foot to the fence, tied them down and pinched them again. Not sure what to do next? Gotta learn how to try to control their height next grow. I topped and fimmed several times but they kept going up. And out too. They’re about 5-6 foot around too

I was going to say hope you have room might get a little crowded. whatever you’re doing keep doing it.

Outdoor is hard to control. Legal here also… :+1::+1::+1::grin::grin::grin: I have 1 Super Skunk that is 7’ 7" and 1 that is 6’4"… 2 GoldLeaf 4’ and 5’4" and 2 Anmesia Haze that are both 6 ’ 3" … They are huge… my best baby is my smallest GoldLeaf…she has 9 cola branches…

She is the one dead center front…

High,
I was thinking of getting some ladybugs to release in my garden. It’s outside but I figure they just might stay around it’s a pretty cool garden.

Do you have any ideas or any thoughts?
Thanks

You can buy a couple thousand ladybugs for ±$30.
Release them at the bottom of your plants in the evening after lightly misting the plants with water.

Some will still be there in a day or two if they have insects to feed upon. Most of them will scatter to other nearby plants.

Ladybugs are great aphid eaters, but sometimes get bored on one plant and take off, even if there is still food available.

If you have specific pests there are specialized predators you can use.

Cool thanks. I am ordering today. Do you have any place you like better than another to buy them from? Does ILGM sell them? They do sell great seeds!
Thanks again
Ger

I’ve used arbico in the past. I’d prefer a local source, but haven’t found one yet.

How about Leafhoppers?

I’ve noticed a lot of these leaf hoppers lately. I sprayed with neem.

Already did diatomaceous earth to get rid of the fungus gnats in the soil. those are gone now and the leafhoppers are still an issue, saw a couple of aphids not that big a deal…fingers crossed no green worms or caterpillars yet…

I live in Michigan as well and my local grow store sells ladybugs, you might want to check locally. $10 for 1500.

I bought $10 worth about 6 weeks ago, released a couple dozen in each of my indoor grow spaces and let the rest go in my outdoor plants. I continued to see them for about three weeks before they all flew away or got eaten.

Checking today. Thanks
