Unwelcome dinner guest..mr lil worm

Anyone seen these guys before? If so how concerned should i be?

The leaf is a pretty small one. Had to zoom in all the way on my phone to get this pic. I didnt break out my calipers, but I’d say he’s about a 1/32 of an inch in length.
Found 2 so far and eliminated the threat to my peaceful head space😂

Those little guys can cause a lot more damage than you think. They will get in the buds and start munching, not only causing areas to rot, but also leaving bug dookie in your buds. Captain Jacks Dead Bug and Arbor Organic are great products you can use until harvest.

Ok got captain jack coming wednesday. Just keeping a close eye till then. I’ve found about 6 so far. They have quadrupled in size in 2 days which is not unexpected. Some were so tight in by the bud i had to cut it to be safe.
So… somewhat a noob here. Is it recommended to spray the buds directly or just lightly? Not sure of the question but this plant is doing so well i hate the thought of losing it
These guys do produce webs but so far not on the plant

plant.

Just applied captain jacks. Took a few days to get. I’ve probably taken 20 of these off the plant so far. They’ve grown to about a half inch. Easiest way to spot them is leaf damage. Had to cut away a bit of the denser foliage just to find these guys!

How long does it take to begin dropping them?
Using ffof and bergmans nutes. Did these come from soil? Or did i carry something into my space? TIA

After you get this plant done you should clean out the tent and wash it. After its clean and dry then treat the floor and walls with a long lasting insecticide like Ortho Home Defense. Spray the walls and floor and let it dry. Just a light coat on all the surfaces so any crawlies will die on the way to the grow bags.
You should avoid going into the grow room if you have been out in your yard. Things like mites and aphids will hitch a ride into your grow room.
Nothing is 100% effective. Things like worms may be present in your bagged soil. Diatomaceous earth on the surface of the soil can keep most bugs at bay. And Cptn Jacks is good for treating active infestations.
Just a few things I have done to avoid problems. I also switched to coco coir which is free of most bugs.

Seems like good wisdom!
Treated w cptn jacks yesterday just before lights out. (Off during the hot part of the day) picked off 2 last night and this morning i have found none! Still too early to call it.
The diatomaceous earth… i assume you just dust the top of soil? Does it have to be reapplied after watering?

Not usually. It will look different but it still works. Its just microscopic glass skeletons that will cut the exoskeletons of bugs in the soil and they will dehydrate and die. So applying from time to time will not hurt a thing so just add some on occasion.

Well, have treated with capnt jacks twice and the lil buggers keep coming! They are averaging about an inch now. As opposed to the 1/32” they started out at.
I know bugs lay hundreds if not thousands of eggs in a shot, but i assume they would hatch more or less at the same time…and if there were hundreds of larvae on my plant they wouldn’t be so hard to find.
I’m pulling off 3-5 caterpillars 2 times a day! Thankfully so far they are mostly off the buds.
Definitely learning something about grow room hygiene.
