I grow in 3 gallon fabric pots with Jacks

In all (never-completely) seriousness, you are not alone in feeling that way my friend.
Promix is the real “happy medium” between coco and soil. From what I’ve heard - anyone who starts using it falls in love with it.
Also, if you’re not looking to switch up your routine it’s far closer to soil than coco for watering frequently and pH.
Promix BX or Promix HP > mixed with additional rinsed perlite. It doesn’t have all the nutes premixed in so you’ll have to feed almost right away and more often than you would have using FFHF.

I switched from FFOF to Roots Organic several years ago. The only change was that I don’t need to add perlite to Roots Organic. It is fine right out of the bag.

Switched from FF to Coast of Maine this year, the pricing forced me to find an alternative. I can’t believe what these companies are trying to get for dirt.

Yeah I’m with you on the tanking PH FF issues. It’s ridiculously hard to keep it in check. I bought a bunch of it when I started back up and once it’s depleted I too am out.
It requires a ton of runoff to have any chance. Waste of time and waste of nutes.
