CHEAP!!!
Like i said in original post plants look really good for the readings.
One would think 2-3 times out put would be causing issues???
Oh absolutely! I definitely donāt recommend feeding in at 1800ppm. You would probably see good results at 800in 800out.
You have such a high runoff because youāre feeding more than the plant is using. This causes stacking of the nutrients. Your runoff number is the important one.
I would look into what other are getting for a ppm, I donāt know your starting ppm, that could make the difference.
Soā¦ after all this ABSOLUTLEY GREAT CONVERSATION i think i will do like i said earlier. Mix my nutes in 1 1/2 gallons of water instead of 1 gallon and see where the nutes in gets to and adjust from there. YOU FOLKS ARE THE BEST!!!
I AM DETERMINED!!!
Your determination is what makes us do what we do!
Thanks auto!!
Thatās what I would do. Give a good flush and they should be fine. Just make sure to drain well. I like to have a screen over a tray so thereās clearance from the pot to the tray. They seem to drain better when itās not directly touching the surface. You may need more than a gallon depending on pot size and number of plants.
That actually a pretty good meter for the price. I have to same one.
Just an observation from the grandstandsā¦
If youāre going off others advice for proper PPMās, the most important question imo is what conversion scale is that meter using? The exact same (1800) solution could measure anywhere from 1300-2500 PPM (rough napkin math) on a meter with a different scale, depending on whoās using which scale. Needless to say, it could just make matters worse if you and your adviser arenāt on the same page meter-wise.
Ok i got called a away for a day and didnt get to suck up water after adding the 1 gallon but will test run off tomorrow. Pots are on raised screens so pot is NOT sitting in run off thankfully.
Make sure you look at it carefully, i didnāt see the x 10 on it at first had to break put the readers lol
I did the same thing with my meter, first time using it, never saw the x10. I am thinking low ppms of 200 and it was 2000. I did catch that after a few readings.
