Finally got a ppm meter to see what my run off numbers are, well one gallon PhD water with 2teaspokns ff tb, 1tbl spoon ff bb and 2.5 mg calmag 880 ppm reading, why would run off be so low?

Sounds like the plant’s taking everything in, but I haven’t seen a runoff that low myself. @raustin ?
Yea I figured soil would hit that high on it’s own, that’s lower than my tap water which runs 230. When they dry out wensday night and do a slurry.

Does your ppm meter have a 10x indicator?

I don’t think so it’s fairly basic model. On off temp or ppm only, I had to run an extra water through them to get any run off, so actually gave 1and 1/3 rd gallon to get 1 cup r/o do I need to run more water through them?
Green and it came with a free pH meter. Lol
I’d think 1300 more likely than 130.

Mine is the hg100. Display only has 3 digits, so after 999 it goes to 100

I was replying to drinkslinger.
I’ve had this cheap one for 2 years and it still reads the right ppm within 25ppm. Close enough for me. I use super hot soil, so when I start feeding after 6 or 8 weeks the ppm of my nutes is 750 or so.
Yours is a decent one then

It’s great, but I didn’t realize at first that the display only went to 3 digits. I was in flower and all of a sudden my ppm readings dropped. So I kept adding nutes. The meter was showing 130, then after increased feeding 220, then my plants started going to shit. After much head scratching I realized it wasn’t 220 but 2200. Yikes.

@DrinkSlinger you were absolutely right, I read instructions and sure enough there’s a tiny little x on the display which is = x10.

So I’m showing 142 so 1420 on ppm .
Is that high for these girls age etc.

@Drinkslinger I’m around that, I called it preflower for lat CPL weeks, we’re at day 48 now from seedling had to chk calendar started ff big grow about 3 weeks ago then added fftb 3 feedings ago. 1/2 strength the 2/3rds since then.
Just skip a feed, use water only next time. Imho you’re just a little high. Nothing to worry about
