Sorry yo heat about the defective T3. I have 2 of them. They work great. You can really fine tune your growing atmosphere with any of the AC infinity products. I use all they’re stuff except for the actual Tent, which is a Gorilla 4×4 and the lights which are HLG. But AC all the way for the rest…
Yeah this one is awesome. Working phenomenally and it is way more water efficient than other cheap models i have used before. I am looking forward to having more room so i can get the tent and go infinity all the way with the controller 69 and UIS
Go with the biggest tent your space will allow.
Filling it will be easy.
Plants and equipment, take space.
AC-Infinity 100%, except, maybe lights.
My HLGs (350/260/30) may be better than a 1000HPS.
Been 40 years since I grew with it.
It died in the fire, like all of DDDs S-T-U-F-F.
The late George Carlin had a monologue about Stuff.
Yup he got it right.
George also didnt stay hydrated , it was called being thirsty lol. Love that guy. I agree with the AC infinity stuff. I find their products to be excellent and its good to hear from people that actually use it.
600 watts (or 620) LED from HLG
2.80 or better
Lowering the lights (for me) always turns bad.
Increasing power as temps finally allow.
11.5 ON and 12.5 OFF.
25 inches above the canopy and awaiting the ladies to grow into their happy place.
Nice setup. Those parameters are spot on. The AC infinity catalog does a nice job of stating you can have all these environmentals automated and it looks to be true. Are those autos ?
IDK.
Don’t ask, Don’t tell, or don’t believe.
I can’t remember some things and forgot to ask about others.
CRAPSHOOT or crapshot?
I only use the temp triggers.
3-tent design for Veg, Flower and Clones.
Still trying to refine, for “moonshot”.
Soils and temps are my required learning areas.
Lighting is the area i need more refinement with for sure.
HLG can help with that.
Are you using the Emerson Effect? 11: 30 on 12:30 off is 13 hours of light in flower. I am asking because i think i have the equipment to utilize the Emerson Effect. I need to find out if theres enough Far Red in the HLG Rspec 700 FR first. Now that i have a UVA supplement light bar i might be able to pull it off.
Definitely , call HLG up. They will get you hooked up.
Had to look it up.
“Exposure to higher percentages of far-red light”
[The Emerson effect in cannabis cultivation refers to the phenomenon where exposure to higher percentages of far-red light during the flowering stage can lead to taller plants with greater internodal distance and potentially increase yields].
OK, now that I think about it.
My summer indoor grow is restricted (no Air conditioner cooling).
The April/May harvest of the winter grow went, not the best.
The Seedlings started for summer, indoor went 2/2/2/2 (Two plants in each bag (two) and each had a female with male. Banished them to outdoors.
My Vipar Spectras are energy hogs and produce heat (all pre-2022 China Cheapies).
Cheapest solution HLG’s. (Quality light and customer support)
Buying my HLG-350R was impressive and made me happy.
The 260D was a kit and I could not resist.
Then I read about UVA-30 and figured why not.
Due to summer heat I am not often able to max out the 600-630 watts, from my HLG’s during July and August. Oct-May they will work well with the Vipars providing heat for winter grow. ILGM Autos will be started 11/1/2024.
About the “Emerson Effect”, I can see it, but didn’t know the wording.
Initially, I was disappointed with the short plant with large node spacing.
I could not quantify if it was the HLGs, or operating lights at 20-25 inches (not 15 as recommended, while avoiding HEAT issues).
Secondly, avoiding heat and running the tent 11.5/12.5 (on-off) may contribute to short plants with wide nodes.
was using 11.5/12.5 to avoid heat and temper humidity. not trying to verify Emerson works and in my opinion, it does, maybe…
Now, that I can run full blast and the equipment works, I am happy.
I expect I am 8-weeks into flip with 6 since flowering.
Happy, I am, with the short ladies and wide node spacing.
The heat and humidity are my weak areas.
Let me say the buds are building and happy I am, even with the spacing of nodes.
They were raised under cheap lights until tent residency.
I tried to participate in a extended ON period with 15 hrs OFF.
@Labweed (his thread).
I Couldn’t take the cycles (times changing).
Learned I do better with clock cycles not changing.
Autos for winter and Photos for summer.
Clones and reveging.
The plan.
Its not easy. It takes some getting used to. However, with a good hydroponic system that allows for maintenance outside of the tent, you wouldnt have to really do anything. No adaptation necessary.
Thats the main issue with growing under artificial lighting is the heat they create and the effect it has on the chemicals in the flowers itself. Its a balancing act to simulate natural sunlight and over heating the flowers.
