Hello All. Man, am I confused. On the youtube videos, I found 760 Glass. He makes a concentrate by putting decarbed weed wrapped in cheese cloth into a small bottle with a top and covering the cheese cloth with coconut oil. He boils the product for 2 hours.
I have done that twice. I used 4.3 grams of weed at 23% in a 4 ounce jar. I kept the water at a boiling point right at 212 degrees F for two hours. Took the jar out of the pan, removed the cheese cloth pouch out of the jar and squeezed the excess oil from the pouch.
Now I have 100ml of infused oil. Here is the problem…
I want to make 40 gummies. Each gummie in the mold holds 2 ml. 2ml X 40 gummies is 80ml. Now I have to make jello to put into the molds with the concentrate. How much jello should be made so that I can also use the concentrate? What is the ratio of concentrate vs jello?
The first time I tried the mixture of jello and concentrate it did not mix well. I did not use a lecithin so that was probably my problem. I put the mold into the refrigerator for 12 hours. A very few of them gelled properly, the rest were separated and runny.
I hate loosing weed like this. I read Caligirl’s way to do it and I might give it a try but I still don’t know how much of each (jello, concentrates) I mix together when blending them.

Unfortunately because the gummies were not evenly mixed, I threw the mixture away.

so, the original question is what is the ratio of infused oil to jello to make 40 - 2ml gummies?
I have seen a bunch of videos on this but I cant find a ratio?
I’m pretty new to this too. But I recently had success with a magical butter, premade gummy mix. I used an alcohol extract instead of the oil because I failed miserably the first two times when using coconut oil the taste was terrible and the consistency was all wrong. I’m sure I did something wrong along the way, but I had no problems with the magical butter recipe using the alcohol extract magical butter has a video on their website that was a big help in this regard. I’m sure there are better ways, but I learn better from success than failure
Thanks. While I infused with coconut oil this time I used chocolate as my choice. Still didn’t work.
I’ll check the video you suggested and I’ll watch CaliGirl’s also.

we’ll I put on the stove vent so it helps, but it is a strong smell of everclear. it doesn’t linger. barely smell the weed. as far as effects, depending on your consumption and dosage habits, it is pretty similar, but slightly muted. takes a bit to kick in and last a little longer. I like smoking but enjoy edibles as well. My wife on the other hand can’t tolerate smoke very well.
So far everything I have tried has not worked. It does not smell too bad. I work with it in my garage with good ventilation.
When I purchase a concentrate from the dispensary, the concentrate works very well. An hour and 15 min I start to feel the effects and at 1:45 I’m well on my way.
I will keep working on it. I will watch the two videos on gummies and then something on concentrates.
