Trying to dial in lighting

Hey, so I have 2x SF1000 and a SF2000 in a 2x4 they are all daisy chained together. So I have about 400w total to use on 2 plants.

Anyone better at math than me wanna help me dial it in. It seems 30% dim is still too much but photone is telling me im only putting out 150ppfd but my big plant is telling me its getting too much light while my little seedling is happy as can be.

You can see tacoing on the upper leafs

Heres the seedling

Download the Photone app and follow the instructions for a diffuser with your phone model. It’ll get you sorted out :sign_of_the_horns:

I did… i think my camera is just crap.
Its more accurate on iphone but they want me to pay for full spectrum.
My android is telling me im putting out 150ppfd but theres no way its only getting that little light.
I might just disconnect the sf2000 until flower. Then use the 2x SF1000 on each plant during veg

What’s your humidity and temps?

Androids operate better using a different DLI app. I have a samsung and use PPFD meter from google play. It is free and works well and no diffuser needed. Here are screen shots of the app on my phone

Doesn’t SF have PPFD maps for the 3 typical heights at differing percentages of power?

I’ll be looking into this for sure

Maybe it’s too close or too hot in your tent? You should be able to run sf2000 wide open in 2x4 tent. Probably don’t need the other light until smaller plant is flowering.

Growing a seedling with a fully veg’d plant will likely become problematic. As you’ve already seen, they have different lighting needs. Will be worse in flower.

Buy a par meter or quantum sensor.

They are on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=par+meter+quantum+sensor&s=price-asc-rank&ds=v1%3ASvES8oDcdJTxRcAtQHYi1U9y5E733jSrN5HoYwqQKVc&qid=1744549093&tag=ilovegrowingm-20&ref=aa_sbox_sort

The apps are not as accurate as they state.

I have put these apps against a Apogee Sensor…they aren’t even close.

@Underthestairs

I didn’t add a light meter to my app because of this…just not accurate.

Working on lighting this grow as well. I use photone and it works for me pretty well. BUT.. you may have to purchase access to your lights. I was going off of the wrong light (not wanting to purchase anything) but since I have there IS a difference. My purchase was 7.00 , Stay lifted!
