@Myfriendis410 We live on Venison, Elk, Antelope, Caribou and once he purchased a licence for a buffalo. No sport in that one but the meat was delicious and we ate for 2 years on it. At the time I was furious at the cost of the licence but it ended up $1.00 per pound of meat and it was like eating steak at every meal. He could have shot one twice as big but he didn’t want tough meat, took a younger one.

Nice job Mr @Bobbi wow 2 years, thats awesome!
@bob31 @Countryboyjvd1971 @Myfriendis410 Do you put your plants in the dark for 24 hours before harvesting?
I do, and I harvest on the dry side of a watering cycle. I haven’t split the stem nor have I flushed.
I’m with @Myfriendis410 exception is I have split my stem otherwise I do exactly the same thing
I stop feeding also two weeks before harvest
I should have said: I don’t split the stem ON PURPOSE HAHAHA!
@Bobbi @Countryboyjvd1971 just harvested like a 5 gallon bucket full of buds from a tiny ole grow room. I’d do whatever he does, lol

@bob31 @Myfriendis410 @Countryboyjvd1971 HUH? Split the stems, what does that mean? And if I flush 3 times the size of bucket, then let it dry out completely, then put in dark 24 hours? That the way to go?
@bob31 Thanks bob, I’m gonna try that. I have another plant ready to harvest, I was going to flush it in a day or two, what should I do first? flush it then split it?
I stop feeding two weeks out this way it uses up the available nutrients in the soil
By Doing this I have no need to flush I also stop watering 4-7 days before harvest myself allowing the soil to dry out
I put my plants in 48 hour dark period just before harvest
As far as splitting the stem it’s a personal choice I do it both ways and have had success either way @Bobbi
If you just feed her yes you should flush her 3x pot size using proper ph water
Do you wash your plants? @Countryboyjvd1971
I have dehumidifier set at 50-51 for my flowering plants in basement now.
@Countryboyjvd1971 You said to set my dehumidifier at 55 but I can’t set it higher because that will affect my other 7 plants in the basement. How about I take down my one hanging plant I’m drying and put it in a brown paper bag in opposite corner of basement away from dehumidifier?
The brown paper bag trick is to slow down the drying. If your humidity is up that kinda defeats the purpose. If you are worried, I’d just put a fan on it.
Flushing is really not necessary. But like John said, definitely stop feeding two weeks out. More importantly to me is to harvest from dry soil. This gives the buds a bit of a leg up when drying and I try to take the plant wilting dry which stresses the plant.
@Myfriendis410 I found a better place to put the plant, a cubby hole in basement where I hung a black curtain across open door to keep it dark, humidity is at 57, temperature 72. I have a Mini fan rotating the air but not on the plant and plenty of room to hang the others next week when more will be ready.
Anyone know how to do a sample on the oven, I can’t find the thread. Not the microwave, don’t want to blow it up, something about a 100 degree oven?
