Travel and harvest

How long can I leave the plant in the dark for- Will it be OK for 2 weeks? Is it OK to expose the plant to light when you water it? I know now you don’t want to disrupt the light cycle when your in 12/12 during flowering does putting the light on when you are in 24 hrs of darkness “Trick” the plant somehow negatively?

When your in dark leave it in the dark. That’s the purpose of the ice plus in dark won’t need as much water.

Never disturb the cycle of at all possible.

Yes you can leave it 2 weeks 4 weeks just understand if you leave it in the dark that long once you hit the lights on it’s gotta be harvested. It won’t do you no good to leave it in the dark 2 weeks and try to put lights back on for another week or something.

Appreciate your help and patience Pakalobo! I feel confident that I have the watering covered. Heat and humidity is my next concern. NE is Hot/humid! I can get the humidity down with the dehumidifier but that increases the temp. I’m working on it. Have a great weekend!

Got that issue here in the south too. My humidity is fine during the day it’s once the lights go out it jumps super high. So I’ve only been tuning my dehumidifier when the lights are off. If you have 2 separate timers to plug them in you can have them alternate.

I also DONT have my dehumidifier inside my tent cause that would be way to hot and I’m out of real estate lol. I’ve got it right outside the tent and it works well for me.

I’m running my dehumidifier outside. Do you think that increasing the amount of air moving around the tent (adding another fan) will help prevent bud rot? I got lucky The plants have been dealing well with the high temps and elevated humidity I just worry that may change especially on the humidity side as the plant gets close to harvest. Its amazing how attached you get to your plants! lol

Yeah high temps will make you buds all loose fluffy looking and could cause bud rot. You definitely wanna have a fan even 2 blowing air around and if it’s really hot and humid you can consider some defoliation around the bottom of the plant we’re the pot meets, it to ensure good soil airflow.

Just gotta do what you can. Or make do :call_me_hand:t4:

I can’t remember if your outdoors or it’s just like a hot shed but if that’s the case if your shed is well light protected you can think about switching your lights to nights? It may assist in combating the heat and humidity?

I run opposite schedules in the winter due to it being cooler at night. If you do decide to swap schedules and you going into or are in flower just leave them in the dark all day to get that swap going.
