First grow and i know im getting pretty close. Lots of fading leaves and according to ILGM 10 to 14 weeks on all 4 strains. Im in week 11 total. Have a jewelers loop and one of those usb microscopes but im not sure if milky or still clear. I dont see any amber but my eyes aren’t the best. Not being impatient but i figure the more eyes the merrier.

So when looking at the plant as a hole.
Most all of the white hairs will have turned dark when its about done.
With the exception of some here and there at the very tips of branches or a bud here and there…
Once near all the hairs have turn dark, then we want to start looking at the trichomes.
By all means lookat the trichomes every day if you want to and it will help you get a better idea of what is clear or cloudy.
We also want to focus of the trichomes that are on the calyx (bits the hairs are actually sticking out of), and not the trichomes on the leafy bit (suger leafs).
The ones on leafs change alot faster and isn’t a good indication of ripeness…
I know sometimes the add reads 10-14 seed to harvest but its a lie.
It’s most always whatever time they say is actually time in flower…

Here’s a tip that a friend gave me a few years back…
Clear trichs look like glass
Cloudy trichs look like plastic
And amber trichs look… well, amber.
