I’ve seen some others successfully transplant from media into hydro. The trick is getting all of the media away from roots. If I were doing it (I have not) I would set up a bucket of water with a dose of Superthrive in it, PH’d to 5.8 or so and decant plant into bucket of water and gently rinse away media. Then load tap root into basket and arrange hydroton around the root VERY carefully. If you break the tap root you may as well start over.

Top feed until roots hit the water. Water should be 1 1/2 to 2" below bottom of net pot.

I would suggest you ditch the bucket before doing this transplant and use instead as large a tote as you can fit in your space. A 27 gallon yellow topped tote would be ideal. The reason is your bucket will hold only 3.5 gallons. When plant gets big it will suck that bucket dry in 2 days. This means that you will be adding water twice a day and mixing nutes about every 3rd day. A major PITA too because in between the PH is gonna dive so your adding PH UP all the time too. With a large rez you eliminate all of that.

The other thing you need to deal with now is rez temps. Gotta keep it below 70F with lots of air and should be dosing with Hydroguard or similar. If you can’t manage temps a chiller will have to be added.
