Train wreck Day 8 curling down

Noticed a few curling down yesterday, now this morning have several looking like this. Temperature is 82, humidity was 48 this morning but has been consistently been 65-73. Misting 2x daily and watered rockwool till moist on 30th, was worried about this being over watering as yesterday one looking like this was feeling quite wet, however this morning they seemed less than damp, misted only prior to leaving for work. Intentions on moving them to the hydro system this Saturday. No nutrients given to date.

Id say Normal. But only use t5 fluro or similar and continue to spray with water only 2-3 times a day. If you cannot spray that often throw a cover over it to keep them moist until roots grow to be self sufficient. Seedlings take in moisture from leaves much the same way new clones do. Make sure the plastic container you have them in has good drainage and air. Don’t suffocate the stem below.

“however this morning they seemed less than damp, misted only prior to leaving for work”

Get a sealed cover and spray inside the cover, one spray for a full day is not enough. Note: When spraying don’t spray the Rockwood just spray the inside lid of container. You don’t want the Rockwood saturated :+1:

Hey there @Okie70

First Welcome to ILGM and to our awesome community.

Your humidity is way to low for one thing. Should be 60% or higher but other wise your doing fine and so are your plants.

I keep mine in the dome for 7days after they sprout with 24hr light. A little water in the bottom

So this is from Monday, I’d say this plant has the fewest roots showing of my plants, is moving them Saturday to my hydro system an okay plan, and at that time should I run my drip system continuous or on a timed basis, finally do I then switch to the grow lights or continue with the white leds? Gosh I thought I had researched and learned a lot, don’t feel that way now. @MattyBear @Covertgrower @dbrn32 @Grandaddy013 @Newbrn @peachfuzz @SilentHippie
Thank you all for your input and help, such a comfort knowing support is open, strong and willing to help, when in need. Fat ones for all

The roots look big enough to me to throw in to hydro. Probably should top feed for awhile until the roots make contact with the water.
I defer to @peachfuzz for accurate answers. Peachfuzz has more hydro experience than I do. Btw I love peaches, but not the fuzz. :wink:

How long has it been since they sprouted

I would say they are big enough to put in your hydro. I have my water approximately 1 1/2" below the bottom of the net pot. I have enough bubbling from my airstones to keep the rockwool damp and does not need to be top watered, but don’t let your rockwool dry out.

@okie70
I think they look good, but I am a newbi like you . I am a nurse I take care of people not plants lol, however your babies look good to me.

As far as Lighting I have full spectrum LED and have been told that I am okay with them , consequently I have been reading a lot that says otherwise. I am having fun , yet anxious as well.

How big are your net pots and a pic of your system would help me give you a good answer… but they look about ready to me to go into your system… :wink:

I’m a first time grower. The advice I’ve given you is just regurgitated knowledge from the basic principles I’ve learned from previous people who have grown before me. Just stick to the basics at seedling & flower stage, don’t try too hard and don’t experiment too much with new things. In Veg you can afford to try new things (while sticking to already learned fundamentals in growing) Let your mind think outside the box a little but remember it’s a biological living thing. You will get in tune with your plants and when your plants change frequency you have to react fast and get back in tune. Your confidence will come back don’t worry.

Strong roots, strong start! Seek out growers you want to emulate ( hydro, soilless, soil, organic, etc) and take their advice because you can get lost in advice that doesn’t relate to your grow if youre not asking the right questions. So its up to you when asking advice, provide every single detail of how you’re growing, what you’re using and photos of your problem.

You’ll do great!

They sprouted on 12-26
Thank you for your advice, all of you it is greatly appreciated

Problems abound… :wink:
Will tell you what you can expect with that system if you like… but really don’t want to excurag you from what your doing… :wink:
Just want to give you a heads up… :wink:

:v::sunglasses:

Oh I think the air just completely left my lungs, in awfully deep as it is, best to know what to expect I suppose. Sure wish I’d found this forum prior to, ectopic. Oh my goodness @peachfuzz lay it on me I guess. Can I make this work without losing my already large investment

@Bubblehead I’d love to scope out your journal and follow - how do I do that, I’m new to this all

Well hold on… looking more at what you have… are you going to individually feed each plant location?
If so you might be able to make this work…
You just dont want to use nft on this setup… that will lead to some plants getting everything they need and others suffering…
Is that main pipe a 6 inch pipe?
Just looked again… you said 6 inch…
this might work…
What’s the rest of the system look like…
More info needed… :wink:
Hopefully…:wink:
roots will clog main pipes if they are smaller than 6 inch…
