Toxicity or deficiency?

Hello team, This is my first grow. I’m growing 3 watermelon autos from rqs. Plants are in start of week 7 from germination(3rd week of flower) and start stacking budz. They all are different from the start. The one closer to me in the picture is the biggest one and it showing some kind of symptoms.

In week 3 I started having a little bit of N toxicity because the tips would curl and turn a bit yellow and this happened to all of them. I cut back the nitrogen in the 4th week right when flower hit, to less than half the dosage and used full dosage of bloom (which was 2ml per litre as recommended by Plagron, using alga grow and alga bloom)Now it mid-week 7, mostI the tips of most leaves of my biggest plant are light green, and tips have been getting more yellow-brown dead dry. Also, another thing that made me skeptical was that the smallest one (bottom right) looks the healthiest in contrast to the other 2 bigger ones. And the one on the bottom left is in the middle, in terms of size and symptoms shown ( still having some healthy leaves but also some burn and light greenness. So i don’t understand if its deficiency or toxicity from something. I also feed only ph water every 2 nutrient feeds.

Any help is appreciated <3

You can see the difference in color in the plants. Ive been feeding it same amounts, just a bit less watering in the smallest one cuz i guess it made sense.

Looking good Growmie, what PH and PPms are you feeding at and the run off of these 2? Some strains can have a larger appetite than others. Soil PH range is 6.3-6.8 with 6.5 being optimum. Target the feed PPMs at 900-1000. Soil also likes a wet to dry cycle and this could be anywhere from 3-5 days depending on the vessel size. It’s important to feed or water to approximately 20% run off, this will rinse the salts away that accumulated from the previous feeding keeping a healthy root zone :love_you_gesture:

Ph i always try to be in the 6,5 with some feeding going to 6,2 and 6,7. Ive never used ppm meter, unfortunately. This is a tight budget grow. Also, i has scared to feed till runoff because of overwatering issues plus i couldn’t find any water catcher for all 3 pots that could fit in the tent so im just with what i have. I have fed it nutrients the last 2 times because i thought there was a deficiency on the bigger plant but maybe ill need to take each one out and only water each one of them separately till runoff and test the ph of the runoff water. But im not sure. How does this sound Incognito?

A reliable PH is a must but there’s some decent TDS pens on Amazon and very inexpensive. What size grow space and how many plants do you have? Removing them from the grow space and watering or feeding to run off can be therapeutic and gives you the opportunity to inspect, train and test the run off much easier than leaning over in the tent. What lighting are you running above the plants :love_you_gesture:

I got 3 plants watermelon autos, you can see in the picture above, i have a low-view shot. 60x60x140 tent(kinda like 2x2). Using vipar spectra p600. Only 100w light but leaves are praying and plants seem to get the light they need surprisingly. Im very happy with this small led.

I like to remove my plants from grow space when watering to run off set on rain tote with a rack and let them drip out before placing back in tent.
Good luck

Overall the plants are looking great. You’re going to have you hands full and issues with 3 in a 2 x 2 space and that light would possibly flower 1 plant. I estimate 35 watts per sqft of grow space with a quality light using Samsung LM B or H series diodes. Here is 1 plant in a 1 gallon pot using a 2 x 2 tent :love_you_gesture:

Hey man thanks for your comment. what is a rain tote?

And what do you think is the issue here, deficiency or excess? Also, what do you mean by that light will flower one plant? All 3 plants have been flowering under this light.

It’s almost impossible to determine a deficiency or toxicity without knowing the input and run off PPMs Grow Bro. Agree their flowering under that light. The buds will not reach the full bud development potential resulting in small, airy Larfy buds :love_you_gesture:

I found your post and was reading along thinking who would be able to help and OG stepped in and assisted. Its fun and stressful and relaxing changes overnight to keep us wondering. Mine are all on wheels and have plates taped to the wheels to catch my run off, keeps the mess down. Old shop vac while watering is great also
Ibring mine out when I had to flush the nutrients block I have more than 1 but less than 50 in my tent. Lol. @OGIncognito i"m low budget but there are some needed tools my one ph and tds meters are cheap but do the job and comparing to the more expensive ph pen they are close enough for horse shoes.

Hahaha never have thought you can use a vacuum cleaner in your grow space. So i just suck out the water from the fabric pot? Like stick it in the bottom of it or smthn?
