Topping a clone?

I have 4 clones from an outdoor Tropical Fuel OG Kush that have rooted and are just over 12" tall.They will eventually all go out doors.They need a topping but do i just pick off a new shoot when it the size of a pen tip or snip down a node. Not as easy, for me, to choose a section when it grows straight up.

Any help is appreciated. Wasnt expecting 4 to root.

You’ll want to choose a node to top above and then leave a good bit of nub above your top (remaining) node so you get a good knuckle as it grows out.
