The small one wasn’t topped. The topped one is looking amazing. The color is deep and there are two new main trunks thriving in the middle there.

My best godfather OG plant is a monster compared to the rest.
Its leaves are pretty sweet! I’ll be cloning this one.

Good growing. That’s a nice thick main stem for a young plant. She’ll be able to hold up some heavy flowers.

Thanks! I was thinking the windy conditions created by the fans may have helped with that, but who knows. I’m pulling for a good potency with my worm tea at every watering and the pruning. I’ve already cut this godfather og up a bunch and it handles it all like a charm.
I don’t have the experience that a lot of you have, but I’m going to clone this one and cross it with the best plant of the gold leaf that I’m growing.
Is she a photoperiod or an auto? Autos, when you clone them, keep the mom’s schedule, so you have to do it early.
Need a male to make seeds, or stress out a female so she hermies (not a desired trait).

That works! You gonna clone both plants and apply the CS to just one? Or collect the pollen and “paint” it on a young bud or 3?

I want to breed the OG potency with the yield of Gold leaf. I’ll probably pollinate a Godfather OG so I can use that pollen in the future if I find another strain to add into the link. I’ll seed out a gold leaf with that pollen, and also pollinate itself. I’ll probably also pollinate a gold leaf so I can add both to all future strains that I create in an attempt to stabilize it.
They’re photos. The only two autos I have going are do si dos (supposed to be potent).

Yeah, I should think about seeding out one of my Death Bubba females. Keep cloning them, but next September have to go away for 3 weeks and will have nobody here to look after anything, shop closed until I return! If I seeded one out, at least I could keep the strain, and with enough seeds, could even give a few away! I’ve only found one site that has DB seeds, and it’s not a reputable site, apparently. DB gets up to 27% THC and I just love how it knocks me out at night! Like a light switch for the brain!
The Godfather OG has allegedly tested as high as 34%. Anything even close to that +/- 5 would make my year. If any plant can’t do it, this one looks ready for the task.
I’m about to cover 32 square feet of Scrog netting with 10 plants. This should be interesting. I have another layer if needed, but this is already two layers, six inches apart.
Your gonna need more light.
Yeah. I’m buying at least two more of these and they’re each rated for 4x4. That’s the same as this square footage I’m covering.
I’m actually thinking about stacking the nets and bringing the longer branches to the top net to create a bathtub shape that’ll catch all the light that’s being lost:
Just checked and the seed place I’ve used has them! Looked at the strain details…“Caryophyllene reduces lipids and reduces the likelihood of seizures in some individuals.” This looks like something I should grow for my niece, she has seizures daily and likes Harlequin and Pennywise, she’d probably love this too!
I’ll add it to my list of wanna-try’s!
Left one is topped. The right is not. Both planted at the same time and both are doing well now. Off to the races.
I will research everything myself and grow as I want, rather than how everyone else thinks I should. I’ll still post pictures of my plants, though. There’s more than one way to create the large, potent buds you desire. This plant had its second set of true leaves topped and has a trunk to handle whatever challenge I give it, already.
There’s going to be a nice knuckle where it was topped. It has no choice. It has to make room for those tops.

This is the compost tea that I water my plants with, every time. That frothy surface is the microbial activity. I haven’t even aerated this. It gets aerated by the microbiology from within. Healthy tea.

No one is telling you how to grow. They are just giving recommendations. Nobody in this GREAT group of growers does it the same way. They are just making suggestions. Dont take it personal. We all share our thoughts here. No single way is correct or incorrect. Everyone wants everyone to succeed and have the BEST grow possible. I will still watch your grow process and give suggestions. That does not mean you have to do it MY way. Happy growing friend.
