Just had moved the gal yesterday. didnt check the light. checked it just now and it was at 850ppfd. I lowered her down now im at 450ppfd. I did see some flying gnat looking fellas on her also. Dusted with some DE. This look like light stress or bug eatins? I didnt check any of the run off numbers havent added any nutes. FFOF soil.
she was also due a good drink of water, hince the drooping leafs. possible I let it dry up to much?
Might be some info available online that you can find. This article shows different symptoms than you have for light stress.
Maybe…just maybe…some water drops were on the leaf. Lights use drops like a mini magnifying glass and leave little burns.
that is a good possibility and it does look like it has a splatter pattern. ill be sure to be more careful. thank you
Thank you. That looks like a good article and im always interested in learning more about growing so im gonna read it up. maybe find what i got going on. Br good info to know either way
hey buddy fungus gnats adults’ short life stage, barely eat but want water. The larvae that can eat root hairs when they run outta other food. just saying so ya dont need to dust the plant, I dont know if you are anyway… I’d keep the leaves clean and dry to help figure if there’s a problem, unless foliar spray then under leaves.
yeah i did put a little DE on soil. Only time I have gnats is when i start new plant. I guess they live in the soil and im sure it cant really be helped. I also use the little sticky pads yo catch them but I am currently out. i actually did spray the seedling with distilled water but it was a while back but may just now be showing
I’m worry about mine too theyre very young and a bit sick, I hate losing growth speed
Yeah I have a lot to learn still. I jusy found out today Ive been feeding fox farm nutes wrong this whole time. I never mixed the nutes and just stop the grow big and switched to tiger bloom as soon as they started flowering
I was on the GH Floranova. Tell ya the stuff works some good. Besides shaking it, putting in the right amount of ml, how often to use it, what could go wrong… haha hurrying and just eyeing it out
my next grow im going to attempt my first photoperiod. once this plant starts requiring nutrients Im going to try out the Dr. Earth organice dry nutes. I added mycorrhizal fungi to the soil and worm casting so Im hoping it will make good use of the top dressing dry nutes. I’m still very much trying to find my groove and then hopefully find some consistency. My ultimate goal is simplicity so I may not take to growing photos but ill never know until I try. Ive never done any but Im currently feeling that I will enjoy the training part of a photo. I just dont like measuring out nutrients and checking run off numbers. so trying to find a stupid simple feeding routine. When my bidget allows im hoing to get an autopot system also… so many dreams and wants lmao I want to see my smiling face on the cover of high times.
Consistency makes sense for photos I think, I only want to grow them now, autos was only three grows early to mid 2022 and so I’m biased. I’m now trying to grow a photo about as fast as and auto and still get a half pound out of harvest 4x4 tent. Like 3 months seed to harvest but always a setback
