The best advice I have is to repot them. They are getting too large for those cups. The soil in the cups is probably spent, and that can lead to other problems as well.
Definitely light bleaching, and time for a transplant. When the leaves reach the edge of the container…
Yeah too much light too soon.
Transplanted with OF (bottom) and HF or Indicanja (ran a out of HF) with some perlite and myco. Autos in 3g and Fems in 5g. I fed with 6.5 pHed water to run off. 27” under two MH tsl2000Ls cranked to 65%. The temp is 77F and RH 57%. I did not feed with uotes because they’re young (and my Jacks hasn’t arrived yet).
Did I do this thing? @Hellraiser @dbrn32 @imSICKkid @Covertgrower @MidwestGuy
Looks good to me!
My local shop had this for first time i think, price was decent too. Have you used before? I ended up grabbing roots original, but I was tempted.
I agree though, things look great!
Looks good, while I am a fan of runoff, you really don’t want much runoff when using soil with ferts in it like OF and HF as you’ll wash away the ferts in them. A little runoff is fine just to let you know that you are giving enough water, then go for more runoff when you start using nutes after the ferts in the soil have depleted.
I think it’s…fine? My only complaint is that I’ve had a bag where are few gnats came flying out. It’s grew some damn fine weed though, no complaints there.
@Hellraiser You usually start feeding nutes around week 3 or 4?
With coco i feed from the start. When I was growing in soil (mostly Happy Frog) I started feeding after the seeds sprouted at 1/4 strength, but I tend to start feeding early compared to other growers. Since you are using a mix with Ocean Forest which has a lot of ferts in it, you probably won’t need to start feeding for at least 4 weeks, just watch for any yellowing (or light green even) of lower leaves which means the ferts in the soil are getting depleted and you should start feeding. When I used straight Ocean Forest, I normally started 1/4 strength feedings after 4 weeks.
(2w5d (Day 19) ) Day 2 after moving to the grown folk tent and transplanting. I’ve got a few copper spots and edges popping up this morning. I’m chalking this up to careless watering that splashed on the leaves? I thought I dried all the wet leaves but I guess I was careless with that as well! The random leaf twisting I’m chalking up to weirdo genetics I dunno.
I also noticed that I purchased Jack’s Hydroponic nutrients instead of soil on eBay. I also have the FF Trio I can use instead and try Jack’s the correct soil nutes with the next grow.
The tent pole connectors and fan extenders arrived today from Etsy. Gotta go buy the correct size pvc pipe and hope that home depot will accept the pre-cut pvc I bought a month ago (with no receipt). OPE
Jacks Hydroponic (5-12-26) is also known as Part A of the the Jacks 321 recipe, it is the correct product if that is what you are after, along with epsom salt and Jacks calcium nitrate (Part B).
It’s a 4lb package of:
5-12-26 Hydroponic
15.5-0-0 Calcium Nitrate
Espsom Salts
so it looks like I’m good to go! Thanks, @Hellraiser !
Looks like the same 4lb package that I got from ebay, got me thru the Zkittlez and Banana Kush grows and still have plenty left, an amazing value Jacks is.
@Hellraiser do you think the 10-30-20 Bloom is needed? Any other supplements I should have on hand?
No, I don’t use that, nothing else really “needed” as Jacks is a complete fertilizer. Other than Jacks, I use silica and a root enhancer, many Jacks users like Tribus but I’ve been using Fish Sh!t but I’ll probably try Tribus next. Other things popular with Jacks growers seem to be Recharge (which I use weekly when I remember LOL) and in flowering Fulvic or Humic acid powder which is supposed to help with nutrient uptake. That’s all I’m using in my Jacks vs AN Cherry clones grow-off.
Ok, I have fish shit on hand and I’m shopping for silica. I’m trying not to juggle too much else since this Jack’s schedule will keep me on my toes.
I’ll check your older posts regarding when/if to flush. Thanks again and again!
Documenting week 3 (21d). Not much is happening really? Yeah yeah yeah " a watched pot never boils." I just want to make sure this grow goes well, and that the transplant shock was minimal. I cranked up the wattage to ~80%.
I’m still bummed about the clumsy watering that caused the rust spots on some leaves. And the bleaching of one plant. Thankfully, I’ll be able to hide these mistakes when I top them in a few weeks.
I’m also planning to feed for the first time once the pots are dry. I also picked up some Rhino Skin silica to strengthen the trunks and branches.
Again, welcome to any feedback on anything I missed or should be doing! @imSICKkid @Hellraiser @dbrn32 @Covertgrower @MidwestGuy
Looking pretty good as far as I can see.
