The Watering poll

After seeing different answers on watering I am curious what average watering schedule for a 5 gallon grow bag is for everyone during late Veg into flowering
I get that there are varying factors but I pretty much water on a three to four day schedule so ex: Sunday then Wednesday or Thursday

I water when the dirt is dry and the pot(bag) feels light.

Twice a day, 5 gallon fabric pots.

Let’s see how many different answers we can get.

I grow in 10 gallon fabric so my answer is not what you are specifically asking for.

By the time my plants get to late veg and all through flowering, I water every day. Each plant gets 1.5 to 2 gallons of water each day.

I should have mentioned that I generally get a pint or two of run off each time I water. I should have included that I currently grow in Root Organic Original soil.

Your choice of medium, the size of your plants, the size of your containers, room temperature and room relative humidity all affect how often and how much you will need to water your plants.

I do a wet dry cycle…at that point it turns out to be about every other day

Autos I’ve grown in organic soil-only, in 5 gallon SIPs (~3.5-4 gallons of soil), that produce 4-5+ OZ harvests, drink ~.5-1 gallon a day during that period…these folks were at ~39, 37, 40 and 34 days above ground (4 different strains):

When I was in soil with 5 gallon bags. I would do a a three day water/fed schedule during flowering. Only if the plant was over 4 foot it may reduce to two days sometimes.

Everybody situation is a little different depending on grow space temperature How quick the pots dry out and also the size of the plants an pots . I’m usually 2 to 3 days on 5 gallon fabric pots. Check the weight of the pots by lifting. Good luck :v:

Organic living soil with cover crop and mulch.
pots 15 gallon, 20 gallon, 7 gallon, 1 gallon
I water every day….spray top of soil on all of them
Pots never dry out always are fairly moist except the 1 gallon they dry quick.
Main watering varies based on plant size and pot size and where they are in stage of growth.
Never water to run off but some does seep out and get sucked back up soon after.
So from a quart to a couple gallons when they tell me they need it.

My 5 gallon air pot with soil and perlite mix take 7liter watering and give 1liter runoff every 3-4day at transition to bloom.

Then the same every 2-3day at blooming phase.

Generic answers, not many grows are identical as mentioned.

Too many governing factors on every grow.

Hydroponics, soil, coco, hi RH, no RH, nutes, amended nutes.

Different lights, tents, modified tents, no tents, outdoors, indoors. Strains different, longer veg, no veg, length of lights being on different.

Lift, no lift method, drippers, handwatering,

How you transplanted, or didnt.

My plant starts drinking alot faster late veg.

Using lift method, 5 gal fabric, normally about 2-3 days at that time to feel like a loaf of bread and that depends on time of the year also.

At that time. Late veg when stretching and flowering begins is when the pot gets light everyday.
Funny. In the beginning, shes a slow drinker and that changes in flower.
