The leaves of my plants get weird spots

Hello everyone :wave:t2:

This is my first grow.
My plants are 8 weeks old Amnesia and the other day i saw this weird spots on the leaves of my plants. It startet at one leave and now it’s getting worse. Now the leaves at the bottom turn also yellow. I don’t know what i do wrong and i really need help.

I have them under 1000 whatt full spectrum lamp and a light schedule from 18/6.

@GardenWitch I would say she’s ready for a bigger pot, watering frequencies are probably getting to her.

Thanks for your answer.
I have her in an 10 inch pot right now. What do you think how big should the new pot be?

I’m going to assume it’s a photo, I don’t know how long you plan to veg for but I would say 5 or 7 gallon fabric pot, give her a week or two and switch to 12/12.

@GardenWitch give her some room for roots. Bigger roots better fruits.
Try to switch to flower while she is small so you don’t over grow the light.

Okay, thanks again for your advice

I’m gonna get a bigger pot and switch the light schedule to 12/12 and look how she is doing afterwards. How often should i water her? Is twice a week too much?

Well my friend that’s a little bit of a harder question to answer.
Are you feeding any type of synthetic nutrients?
In its current pot, at its current size I would say no that’s not too much.
See if you can get some filtered or distilled water.
Look for some dry flower nutrients like down to earth or dr earth.
The reason I say filtered water is because of mineral content and build up overtime.

I don’t feed her anything, because the soil already has nutrients for 8 weeks or so. And she is only in the soil for 3 weeks.

Dont flip to 12/12 yet. You want your girl happy and healthy before you flip. Depending on the size of your pot depends on how many days of nutes you have in your soil. A 5 gal pot will have 30 to 45 days worth of nutrients. Your girl looks overwatered and possibly root bound. She needs to breathe. Transplanting into a fabric pot will help tremendously.

I had some temperature and humidity issues the last week. Could it have something to do with it?

At night the humidity was almost 90%
The temperature when lights on was 0nly 72 fahrenheit.

You may need to upgrade your lighting in the future. This fixture probably only actually uses 150ish watts. It’s just how they market them.

90% RH is okay in veg phase, but will need more air flow to keep this a little lower.
Flowering is recommended to have 50% RH or less to keep mold issues away.

@ChittyChittyBanginThis is the reason I said give it a Week or two in the new soil and pot. She will explode.
Notice the blurple light in the background? Not gonna support a huge plant.
@GardenWitch welcome to the community and as you get more experience under your belt the more you will be addicted to growing just like all of us! Haha

@Covertgrower i already put a fan in the tent and it really helps with keeping the humidity a little lower. Can i leave the fan on at night or not? Because only at night the humidity is so high.

Like Chitty said, transplant and you won’t need to feed for awhile just water only! Coast of Maine is a great soil! Same with fox farms ocean forest or happy frog. Build a soil has some great options as well!
I think what you have currently is good enough and will give you an idea if this is something you enjoy and have enough time for. We are all here to support!

Yes most definitely. I think most everyone runs their fans at night, if they don’t, they should. This is when humidity spikes the most.
Air exchange is also important. Fresh air in, and exhausting out.

Welcome to the neighborhood. You have gotten great advice. In hot humid weather you need plenty of air flow to keep mold away. I run my fans 24-7. Happy Growing.:v:

Thanks to you all for helping me and making me so welcome. I really appreciate it :slightly_smiling_face:

Also I put her into a bigger pot like 3 weeks ago isn’t it to much stress if I repot her again?

And I notice when I checked my plants earlier, that by the second one the newer leaves are dry to the touch and curl upwards. Does she need a new pott too?
